Yeah I think if he anticipates it dropping where it does then he would look silly if it's won at the near post. I think people are keen to blame the keeper if it helps push their agenda against the owners for selling Bass. Was only half watching the game as I was out but agree with mostly everyone, we were much better first half and we might struggle for creativity playing Norburn, Palmer and Iorpenda together. Luckily with Luker, Jatta and Traore to come in I don't think it's something we'll need to do too often.
He has to trust that Platt wins the header because that is quite far from his goal line. If he comes running out to gather or punch that and misses he's completely out of position. I don't think many keepers at any level come and challenge for that
Yes Woods was a great player for us before we sold him to Brentford, mind you having seen him twice last season when we played Exeter he can't run anymore, but has great vision and orchestrates from the centre circle. Would have him back at Shrewsbury tomorrow but he isn't as good as now.....
Forgot that Marquis was with Doncaster too. Biggins hasn't done anything memorable in his time with us so far. Sums it up that we signed him last summer and went out on loan to Carlisle before the end of the summer transfer window. I didn't even notice him on the pitch on Saturday until just before he was taken off
Still amazed his agent managed to get him a L1 move. Scored some big goals for us but nobody was particularly sad we didn’t keep him in L2
