You 2 should know better, having previously sunk to the the NL. Teams at this level are a glorious delight
The last 2 times we ended up in L2 it ended with promotion. Hoping for a hat-trick. NL does seem to have improved since we were there though.
feels like a lot of teams have regressed though, that Barrow lineup in particular, do they not plan on scoring any goals this season?
1-0, Kabia from the spot 10 mins into his debut. Never a pen, so feels like a raggy way to get off the mark but I'll take it. We've been on top otherwise, lively start from us.
Our game delayed till 4pm due to a medical emergency in the stands. Air ambulance currently on the pitch it seems.
Absolutely dominant opening first half of the season for us. Crawley have been woeful so I'm half expecting them to get rockets up their arses at half time and come out swinging.
We had a few close shaves pissing about at the back before we eventually got caught out. We'd looked solid enough off the ball but carry little threat. Can't see the current XI getting back into the game.
We are 1 nil up against Swindon but down to ten men since the 20th minute after Comley brought down the last man. Been all Swindon since then but they've only had one chance of note and look fairly poor, but a long way to go in this one.
Sounds like we should have had a blatant penalty from the reactions I’ve seen. League 2 refs are back
I’m convinced no team in history has missed more chances than we have over the last 2 seasons - should be 2-0 up at least already here.
I'm not at the game today but been told we.look solid enough and drummond is causing issues. Happy to get to half time 0-0 if im honest
Tranmere have been really well organised and in no bother at all, happy to let us have the possession. We've been dreadful, mostly just incredibly slow, backwards passing and offering no threat at all. So much of our play last season came down the left hand side with Ellis Iandolo and Owura Edwards, but with Iandolo out injured we have no balance on that side as Rob Hunt offers nothing past the half way line and looks awkward on his left foot and Edwards can't get in the game. We're really missing Jack Payne too as we're creating nothing, but I'm not sure he's featured once in pre-season so who knows when he'll be fit.
Same old, dominated the game, look a lot more direct than we were under Maynard - just not been clinical in the final third, and should have had a penalty. need to keep going - Cotter looks a threat in the right, Dennis has done well upfront, Palmer and Iorpenda superb in the middle.
