The Pl is the best because it has the most money, same as Italy in the 90's and Spain a decade later. But the Pl still has loads of shite in it when you get below half way.

That is really not how I meant it. My mum was from Sunderland (though for decades she was a Blades season ticket holder), I remember watching the 1973 cup final on tv with her and she was going mental. I simply meant that they were playing a promoted side, which in fairness, despite current league standing, can fairly be described as lowly opposition, no offence intended.
