Languid style accelerates, has the pass picked. Absolutely robbed Leicester. In any event this is the lfc tactic. Chelsea stock pile 60 20mil players hoping to resell before the go bust. We are hunting at this age and stockpiling on the cheap in the UK. Jude Bellingham at 17 was hot property going to dortmund. After that it's too late for us to go back in if they are really good. It'll be interesting to see what we do next as there's a couple linked but we are due some coming through. Quansah is not one of those plucked out of another academy Bradley is not one either as he was linked to us for years while finishing school. Bajcetic was the last of the foreign academy raids possible McConnell, Gordon, doak, scanlon, nallo, morrison and nyoni and talk of the wolves lad being added. The rights or wrongs of doing this is another matter but it's fairly clear what we hope to see.
Yeah Nyoni looked class seen @King_Kenny mention him in the friendlies thread and he was impressed with him as well. He's calm and composed on the ball and the way he can pass between the lines. I don't think it was shown in the video you posted but he did numerous dinks out wide over opposition players including a fantastic forward reverse dink pass while facing his own goal a fantastic tool in the locker to have at such a young age. He looks like the player we badly missed in Thiago last season. Don't want to get carried away but in terms of squad and youth things are looking healthy we're never gonna be able to compete with some of the other big clubs in league in terms of both gross and net spend so this bolds well for Slot and what he's been left with. Hopefully Curtis Jones will be alright after little knock haven't heard anything yet.
Not having the gross and net spend to compete with others, and winning things make it more sweeter tbh. I think given the talent we have coming through, I am more than happy with what we have, and wouldn't be too disappointed if we never signed anyone tbh because the young talent we have, it all bodes well for the future.
I can't find a Liverpool Kit Thread and as our son is a Liverpool man he just sent me this text message, he has just paid out £125 for this...
Jayden Danns staying at reds ,loan offer from Plymouth turned down by Liverpool due to the kids back problems. https://the72.co.uk/2024/08/08/plymouth-argyle-jayden-danns-liverpool-stay/
Not sure if this has been discussed in the transfer threads haven't had time to check so just wanted to ask Liverpool fans in here if any of you think we've potentially made a mistake in selling Carvalho? His back to back goals against Arsenal and United were fantastic finishes and the movement for the Arsenal goal was great too. I heard Slot wanted to keep him but the club overruled citing it was too good of a deal to turn down. (Not sure how accurate this is). I don't know when players leave us they don't usually prosper we've never sold a youngster and they've gone onto be a Salah for example but i'd have still liked to have kept him. I hope it doesn't come back to bite us on the arse be interesting to see how he does over next couple years.
I liked him as a player, & more so because he seemed versatile, but I doubt he would have got enough chances at the club with the senior players before him. Plus I also feel that he wanted to leave. Can't blame him. Went from being rated highly to not seeing any game time, to a loan that wasn't great. Maybe a fresh start does him more good. Brentford are a good stable club with a really good manager, & less pressure.
Carvalho has a serious smudge on his cv with leipzig. Their manager was less than complimentary about him not wanting to face the competition. He said the lad was nice but once they went and bought in Simons (why loan in a player in the same position then??) Then carvalho didn't fight for the place. We saw ourselves in his initial stint for us that klopp didn't know what to do with him as the game time would drift by without carvalho grabbing the game and showing what he was made off. If a chance fell to him great, if not you could go the whole game without noticing him. Brentford might suit him, maybe big fish in small pond will give him the platform to shine.
