Agreed. Problem for him is the competition is brutal. There's literally zero chance of him starting ahead of Salah. And on the other wing both Gakpo and Diaz are in good form this season. He's too good to just sit on the bench every week. Can see him going back to Italy on loan tbh.
He'd be getting minutes I think. Jota is made of crayons and he can cover Mo pretty well I think if he can just get some fitness.
Carragher seeing his @rse ,maybe the pennies finally dropped for how little regard genuine Liverpool supporters have for the tiresome beaut. Some of the replies are class when you hit the 'load more' link https://xcancel.com/Carra23/status/1861148062019653743
He's misread the room and followed his paymasters line there. They didn't ask him what he thought they tell him what to say imo anyway so he's put his foot in it imo. I'm going to presume no match going fan thinks salah is being selfish anyway.
Salah is no doubt as puzzled by the silence as the rest of us mate ,he's simply conveying that time is running out on seeing him in a Liverpool shirt beyond this season
So, we all agree, Ali is the best keeper around, but should he have to earn his spot back from Kelleher? He hasn't put a foot wrong since stepping in again and probably deserves to keep that number 1 spot for now imo.
They did a segment and comparison on Alisson and Kelleher this morning on SSN and as great as Kelleher has been Alisson's stats are better. Alisson has a save percentage of 88% (I'd imagine that's the highest in the league) Kelleher save percentage 78%. Alisson pass percentage 82% Kelleher 72%. Alisson has conceded 2 in his last 6 Kelleher 6 in last 6. Of course if you're not a stats person then all this means nothing but just thought i'd post them anyway because you asked a good question. Personally i'd start Alisson when he's fit but I'd have no issue whatsoever with Kelleher continuing between sticks.
For me it's Kelleher's spot atm Alisson just can't stay fit unfortunately. Tsimikas & Jones have locked down starting spots for me too this season.
Oh yeah Alisson is unquestionably better but it just feels harsh dropping Kelleher as soon as he's back. He's almost earned the right to play.
I personally wouldn't want to deviate from the run of form we're on at the minute and Kelleher has been integral to that run. He keeps his place until either injury or any loss of form for me.
Gonna be gutted when we sell Kelleher tbh if you ask me right now I'd flip Marmadashvili for profit if it meant keeping Kelleher. Alternatively I think we let Ali go for one last Saudi payday then have the two younger guys fight for the number one spot.
The the thought of letting Ali go revolts me. He's still the best around. Yeah his injury record is not great but he's the most complete keeper around. But yeah, Kelleher is so unfortunate. I don't think the club were expecting him to perform at the level he has this season, hence the Marmadashvili signing.
Also only just noticed how old Kelleher is. 26 now. Ngl I though he was like 22. He definitely needs to move on for his own good which is a bit gutting.
Strong rumours of a major announcement from the club on Friday. My moneys on either Van Dijk or Trent signing a fresh deal
For me Kelleher has to remain in goal when Ali is back, he has earnt that spot and it would be incredibly harsh dropping him when he hasn't done a foot wrong, and the reason we are where we are, until he has a drop in form or gets injured.
yes, but Kelleher saved Mbappe’s pen. Worth 60 million in the tranny market. never was one for stats determining how good a players game is. An indicator yes, but not the deciding factor over seeing with your own eyes. Allison is a better keeper imho. Kelleher been great though. Maybe we should cash in on his form.
