longest LFC manager since Sir Bob Paisley...... (in terms of games in charge if not duration in months etc) 1. 783 Sir Bill Shankly 2. 742 Tom Watson 3. 535 Sir Bob Paisley 4. 491 Sir Jurgen Klopp (Rafa on 350 in 7th, King Kenny in first spell on 307 joint with GH, the Owl down 4th from bottom with Ronnie Moran bottom as interim manager and the ill fated GH/Roy Evans pairing joint 2nd bottom) Still some climbing to do up the table for Arne, currently 20th and top 10 would take 233 games also to note Klopp's tally of 8 'honours' is bested only by Sir Bob (20), Sir Bill (10) and King Kenny (9), only 8 listed as managers (including interim) didn't win any trophies, sadly two of those in the past 15 years.
Dave Fallows is leaving Liverpool after 12 years for a senior director/leadership role here at Chelsea. Can you lot shed some light on him?
Could Bajcetic give us back the control that's been missing ? it's not like the kid hasn't come in and saved our season before.
not hard to work out Liverpool are not defending the title well, however interesting to look at corresponding fixtures for each of last season's top four. +11 Man City [7-1-3 vs 3-2-5] +7 Arsenal [8-2-1 vs 5-4-2] -4 Chelsea [6-2-3 vs 7-3-1] -6 Liverpool [6-0-5 vs 7-3-1] interesting Arsenal have played SIX of the sides 14-20 plus newb Sunderland (not easy), Chelsea four plus Sunderland, and Man City and Liverpool just two of the sides 14-20 long way back from here mind, would have to win at Arsenal and stuff Man City at Anfield, generally claw back some of the GD and probably lose 1-2 max from here First things first is to get the defence working, Wirtz produce more than (unconverted) chances and get Salah and Isak into form - why many were ready to give the title to Liverpool based on signings was Salah continuing to fire and what Isak, Wirtz plus Kerkez and Frimpong would do to the side and unfortunately for much of that the title is going elsewhere
Dalglish speaking sense again ! “Even last year I don't think I predicted they were going to win it," said the Scot. "I'm not going to predict it this year either.“But they're going through a spell at the moment. They’re not winning as often as you like to win. “But if you have so many new players bedding in, then that takes a wee bit of time. "But they won't go down easily (without a fight). They'll be competing. They're very competitive.“We've had their success last year. By the way, they've got the ability to be successful.“But you don't get it just because you say it. You have to work for it. So I'm sure they'll be working extra hard to get themselves back on track for any success that they want to have." "Listen, they'll all be good enough. Give them time to settle down."When you started in your job, did you have a tough start at the beginning? Just give them time.” Does anyone else instantly feel better after the Kings speaks ,or is it just me ?
I feel better just knowing we now have almost two full months of games we needn't worry too much about, we really should be looking at 7/8 wins in our next 9 league games. If you look at our fixtures this seasons we've had a pretty tough time playing notably difficult sides away from home, made even worse by the timing of our games after Europe, etc. Judge us in two months I say.
I wouldn't worry mate ,our away form is that bad we may just win the Champions League I think lifting no.7 would prove a decent enough salve to heal the wounds of a poor domestic season ?
