I don't think we need a lot in maybe 2-3 players , but we need to get a few out Kuyt (already gone) £1m £80,000 week Maxi £1-3m £60,000 Wilson £4-8m £30,000 Adam £5-9m £40,000 Cole £3-6m £120,000 Aqua £7-10m £100,000 ( would like him to stay !) Ok these are my estimated guess on wages but probably not far off , this would give Rodgers between £15m -£30m extra on top of budget but more importantly £ 400,000 a week off the wage bill
Aquilani has had about 5 different managers in the last 3 yrs and none of them have wanted him so there must be a reason why , maybe its because he is not as good post serious knee injury as he was pre injury , I dont know but there must be a reason why none of these top managers are unwilling to pay a pittance to keep him
Yeah we paid way too much in the first place , but if he would want to play for us then give him the games and would suit Brendan play , plus he is better than adam,spearing and Henderson But if he wants to go then that's a big chunk of wages that we can replace him with

They wanted Aquilani but tried to play silly beggars with the fee after agreeing one. Milan have just signed Riccardo Montolivo on a free, one of Italy's best midfielders, and a better player than Aquilani. They still want Aquilani however, but are playing silly beggars with the fee (that however is the modus operandi of Galliani, their guy who deals with transfers). For two top midfielders to be chosen instead is hardly questionable, especially when both were on free transfers. They're estimated but they're all wrong.

Rodgers has a lot to spend. A lot of thinking to go through. Liverpool's youth system is not good. So. I think he might go on a shopping spree even.
All seriousness though you should have a decent amount to spend plus the money you'll get in terms of transfers and wages from the deadwood. What would you expect to be able to spend and what signings can you expect to pull in without CL football. I think that Dempsey and Remy would be attractive options to bolster your attack upfront and in the midfield. I feel that your defense is fine and you should have the money to get some good players in the midfield and creating positions.
We don't need a squad overhaul but i reckon it'll be a busy summer. A right winger looks the most important position to fill, we seriously lack there and if i see Henderson on the right again .. well i'll die inside.
