Amazing match, cracking atmosphere. The scottish leagues are so entertaining. Makes the english game look and sound so sterlile.
As it's being billed , struggling Airdrie v high flying Falkirk . I'm pretty sure they play on a 3G or 4G type pitch so should be on , it'll be grim for the fans attending though , I'll go 1-3 the away team .
Most probably be back to back promotions after a few years in the doldrums . They play a nice brand of football , they give the opponents a chance the way they play , the lad up front with hair bun ( Nisbet or Nevitt ) jeez , he misses some sitters , quality player still .
Grrr , Scottish wussies ! On the plus side , there's 30 mins of life & times of Archie Macpherson instead , though I'll give ' My Epic Camel Adventure ' with Gordon Buchanan a miss which is also on in place of football .
Hopefully Hamilton v Partick goes ahead in this inclement weather . I'll watch 15 mins before FA Cup match & at half time as well , evenly matched tie , I'll go 2-2 full time score .
He's just a sh*t Iolo Williams Instead of City v Salford I endured my favourite Scottish team Stenhousemuir in a shockingly bad 0-0 draw away at Kelty Hearts on ALBA last night , that's twice I've watched them this season & they still haven't scored in either game .
One of the teams from the early / mid 70's results I look out for along with St Etienne , Sporting Lisbon , Sampdoria , Napoli & the other Scottish team Meadowbank Thistle who've been defunct for yonks now . The Warriors doing well last couple of seasons , I think Arbroath will get promoted this season , back to back promotions for Stenny will be too much too soon .
Would be good to see Falkirk back up after a shit few years. Was gutted Raith didn't make it up last season because it's been ages since they've been in the SPL. My team in this league for some random reason is Morton but I can't see them getting up any time soon.
Morton v Falkirk ( again ) on Sportscene , will watch 30-45 mins & 75-90 mins unless the Bundesliga match is really dire but the BIG match of the weekend is " Live " on Alba tomorrow , the mighty Warriors v Smoakies top of the table affair , sod the Calcutta Cup , this is where the real action is at
Looked like running away with it earlier in the season, but Livvy and Ayr are giving them a run for their money now. Depends if end-of-season nerves start kicking in.
Ah , I used to know an Abroathian who lived in P'boro who said about the smoking of fish hence one of the football clubs nicknames the other being the Grimsby of Scotland though reckon they'll beat Stenny tomorrow , hope I'm wrong .
Smokies is definitely an unofficial nickname, named after the local delicacy. BTW Gayfield is without doubt the coldest place on Planet Earth to watch a football match.
