My knowledge of Spanish football is sketchy to say the least – apart from all the usual guff which everyone knows – but I have made a vow to take more interest for the new season. So that being said, to anyone who knows about such things – could you give me an honest / unbiased appraisal on whether they think Atletico Madrid can maintain their form of the last couple of seasons? and have there many any noticeable comings and goings at Calderón in the close season? any credible rumours?
Didn't realise I'd posted in here instead of the Italian Thread regarding Parma. What's the news on Pedro at Barca?
Get the feeling it's a matter of time before he heads elsewhere. Whether it's us, another PL league club, PSG, or someone else is still questionable.
Sergio Busquest has also said that he needs minutes to play. Which he wasn't giving enough last season and most likely he will not be featured again with a star line up Barca having this year.
how often do la liga games get moved? surely theres no immediately obvious reason why real Madrid vs Granada should get moved on September 20th is there?
As far as I'm aware every Barcelona and Madrid game is televised outside of the 2pm-5:15pm ''watershed'' on Saturday afternoon
Champions League fixture on the 15th/16th may mean that it they change it to the Monday night, but I'd say it's likely to be late kick off on the Sunday.
THATS FINE FOR ME. i'm shitting myself i'm gonna pay about 80 quid for a ticket and then it gets moved when i'm not there.
Messi nearly got sent off in friendly game with Roma. Messi was shown a yellow card for what appeared to be a head butt on Roma defender, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. story here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...a-Mbiwa-scoring-just-seven-minutes-later.html
Soldado outscoring Ronaldo and Messi To be fair he's a decent player, even in his time at Spurs he showed he has quality. Some of his link up player and movement is top class, nothing just seemed to go for him in England. I think most Spurs fans expected him to go back to Spain and start banging them in, he's got off to a good start. Already as many league goals as he managed all of last season A genuine shame it didn't work out for him here. He seemed hugely popular with the squad, he was a favourite with the fans too. I also like the fact he doesn't shy away from the fact he was a failure in England. Best of luck to him. It'd be good to see him back scoring goals on a consistent basis.
Well done to Real Madrid for ruining my accumulator Barca should win the league more comfortably this season, reckon they'll break 100 points.
He was relatively popular, nobody complained he left because he wouldn't do it on the pitch but he left with best wishes from most of the fans. One league goal for Spurs last season. He's already on two for Villarreal after two league games
