Given Bilbao's unique way of doing things, that is special. Particularly in the money-obsessed modern game.

Congrats. Always good to hear when not always the same clubs get all the trophies and some others are shining again after so many years.

We will have nearly the same thing in the DFB Pokal this season where both finalists haven't won anything for nearly 30 years (plus in the league where the title goes for the first time to Bayer Leverkusen in their 120 years of existence).

    I like that!

btw: Jupp Heynckes was 2-times coach at Athletico Bilbao, from 1992-94 and 2001-2003. He liked it there very much he once said.

What a game this is & still 15 mins + injury time to go .

Currently Girona 4 v 2 Barca , with Girona 1-2 down ten mins ago , their 4th was a work of art , superb volley & they're currently in 2nd & in Champions League next season , fair play .

I thought they decided to part ways in the summer! This shortage of decent managers is really taking its toll on the clubs. They don't sack the managers because they don't know which way to turn next.

Nice way for Girona to end a wonderful season with a 7-0 win!

    Buying another league.

They will have to engage in some.massively creative accounting to make that work but I fear the cheaty sorry city group and underestimated the Spanish legal system.

I'd give it about 18months and girona will be raided, documents seized and staf put up before a judge.

    Never cross real madrid.

Everyone knows Girona is "Man City B" in the Mediterranean. Money pouring from the Emirates.

Gallagher got his first goal for Atletico and MotM in a 3-0 against Valencia.

Alvarez also got off the mark.

Settled in nicely and looks an important clog in Simeone's system. Sorloth was wasteful upfront but caused a lot of problems from a physical standpoint. Reckon Atletico will be a force to be reckoned with in the CL.

Some players just suited to certain leagues. Lo Celso had a miserable time in England, scored in his third consecutive game for Real Betis.
