Are you likely to have any PSR problems now or in the future which would make sacking him and hiring someone else too costly?
Disappointing to be honest. He's not being helped by our very poor, badly assembled squad that's not creating many chances for him or play to his strengths. His one great game for us when he scored 4 against Portsmouth was the one time he was able to play with Sam Gallagher, an intelligent target man who can hold the ball up and create space for him. He clearly needs a partner with him to get the best out of him but we knew Gallagher was injury prone when he signed and so far it's proved that way. But even with that taken into account, I expected a bit more from his all around play and for him to be able to play the lone striker role better considering that's the dominant way of playing for strikers these days. It wouldn't massively surprise me if you recall him and loan him back out somewhere else in January because I doubt he's hitting the performance targets you're expecting of him and you'll probably correctly think that he'll do better somewhere else in a less shit team.
Focusing on taking you boys to league cup glory haha. But yeah, despite the bad start, they're still a massive chance of staying in the division as the points total every year seems to get lower and lower.
I'm still far from Cooper out but he needs to fix our defensive issues fast, keep defending like we are the last couple of games and he'll be bang in trouble, who we'd get I've no idea
Not sure blaming the officials for missing an offside is going to cut much mustard when you lose 5-2? https://www.manchesterworld.uk/spor...oor-decision-in-manchester-united-win-4846953
just defended like crap, school yard football by both sides really, JJ needs time out of the side his confidence is shot and its clear, he's getting skinned and basically can't do anything right at this point
I wasn't there yesterday but according to friends who were it was close to turning before we got our first goal. Apathy at the end.
Your fans were quite loudly singing 'You don't know what you're doing' when he made three subs at 0-1. A few minutes later you were 2-1 up We should have been out of sight in the first half TBF, and with another ref would've won it at the end. Can't imagine he can go too much longer without a win.
He shouldn't have been given this long. 3 points from 10 games. 1 win in 20 which was vs Luton. We're the worst team in the league.
Every time palace got a break on you when you were 0-1 the crowd were booing loudly and oneill seemed to be getting serious stick over his subs. It did sound real bad.
Yeah. Stick Nuno back in charge of the squad you have now and you'd be nowhere near the bottom. O'Neil did really well at Bournemouth and probably exceeded expectations with you last season but he looks a bit clueless now.
I think you've got enough to beat us next week. All of your matches I've seen this season, you haven't actually played that badly. However, Gary O'Neil is a horrible little man (from his playing days) and it would be great to put the final nail in.
We've scored as many as Forest, we've got some very exciting attacking players, so when you watch highlights or the odd game I can 100% understand why someone would think that. We're just a disorganised rabble though, every game just descends into an end-to-end basketball type match. It's a crazy way to set up a team and the group as a whole are weak willed and overly emotional. I appreciate that Southampton aren't great at the moment either but I think you could easily beat us next week.
I guess O'Neils' siege mentality, underdog thing only works when the fanbase buys into it. If and when he start losing the fans he needs to find something else, and I'm not sure if he has it? I'd be interested to see what he does if he ever ends up managing at a club expecting to challenge to win. Upper championship say. Does he have a different brand, formation, style etc.
