Koscielny and Mertesacker are undefeated are a centre-back pairing for the last 18 premier league games and have only conceded 13 goals in that time.

Very true. If we're getting £30 million a year from each of them, it's a huge amount extra we'll be getting each summer.

Basically means that now we can spend £70 million on fees alone.

We've got a lot of deadwood to ship out and some of the wages it could free up is mammoth. Obviously the new deals help as well.

As always, it's up to Wenger if he wants to but I think he will now.

Yes, it's a weird one with Podolski. He brings produce from that left-side but he want to play up front. His movement however is absolutely shocking for a striker and unless he is scoring, he doesn't bring anything up front. It's up to him really. I think we can safely say his future at the club is on the left, if he doesn't like it, then I'd move him on. I would rather keep him though but only for the left-wing.

Bascially : 'Gervinho is what he is for his price'. Rumours came out today of a move to Lyon. I think if a double digit offer came in, he'd be off and I don't think anyone would miss him. It hasn't worked out.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

He cocked up with Mata but was completely right on Sahin.

Yes, we take forever at wrapping up a deal.

Just wanted to say how this is probably the most optimitistic i ave been about Arsenal's chances in a while, Man utd, Chelsea and City are all getting new managers.

For once we do not have a big player that may leave, so we will only have a stronger squad next season.

It also looks like we are in the money this season, not in the ridiculous amounts of city and Chelsea but because it is public that we have this money now hopefully that will make Wenger use it.

Im expecting next season to finish with Chelsea as title winners, Arsenal/man utd in 2nd/3rd and city in 4th

Not one link to Grenier before the weekend, Wenger mentions an interest and now we're meeting his agents and all that shite.

    The papers are truly laughable.

Cazorla voted player of the year, unsurprisingly.

A little, but summer could well end up a massive disappointment.

Early days yet, but I'm fearing the same theme. I was optimistic about signing Jovetic a month back, but that seems like we've balked at the price. We're being linked with everyone, a new one each day in the media. Which seems to only be because we're reported to have £70 million to spend. We need to be wrapping up deals early. Man City and Chelsea have no manager and we have to beat them to the punch.

I personally don't think the media have a clue who we're actually after, which is good in the sense it means other clubs can't come in and beat us to them, i.e Cazorla.

I want us to be done by the time pre-season starts.

Cheeez! Add that to Squillaci and Arshavin and we've already freed up £200k a week in wages.

3 down (Squillaci, Arshavin, Denilson) 5 to go (Bendtner, Chamakh, Park, Santos, Fabianski)

Denilson's contract has been terminated by mutual consent. I can't believe I got his name on the back of my shirt halfway through his first year with us. I thought he was the real deal, he looked so promising.

He's an average player. Not brilliant, not terrible. Watching the likes of Arteta and Wilshere in the midfield for us in the last few seasons has shown just how sub standand the guy was.

    All the best to him.

    GKs - Szczesny, Cesar, Martinez

    LBs - Gibbs, Monreal
    RBs - Sagna, Jenkinson
CBs - Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Williams

CMs - Arteta, Wanyama, Wilshere, Ramsey, Diaby
Hole players - Cazorla, Rosicky, Grenier

Wide men - Podolski, Walcott, Gervinho, Campbell
    Strikers - Giroud, Jovetic

With Joel Campbell returning from loan, those are the 5 names we're heavily linked with at the moment that can realistically happen (We're linked with Rooney and Fabregas but let's be realists here).

    Happy with that squad?

That would be a very decent squad for the coming season, however is there really a marquee signing in there?
