yeah I'd imagine it's simply our other targets aren't coming off and we can get him, if he does well and we stay up we can always try to buy him next summer
Well this is turning into a bit of a soap opera! We've changed the structure of the deal which has caused his club to reject the offer. We've walked away and last night a link to Galeno from Porto appeared (not sure if it's true or a ploy to push the Sosa deal over the line). It's now reported that Sosa has told his club to just accept our offer as he wants the move and will go on strike & refuse to play for them if they don't accept the offer
Puts me off the player immediately when they behave like dick heads like this. We had it with Boulaye Dia and after he did it we never went back in for him.
It also makes me think "man, this guy really does want to play for us." Our entire approach to this deal has been to pay as little as possible, get the terms of payments as we want them, not giving a shit about the other club whilst ensuring the player is unsettled as possible. I like our new strategy - it's much better than the old way of pay whatever is asked for any old dross
Don't know anything about Sosa really apart from watching the odd highlights vid when we were linked with him. Galeno would be an okay signing though.
I know nothing about either of them apart from their positions Unless we are looking to shunt either Hudson-Odoi or Elanga into a squad position, I can't see us spending £30-£40 million on Galeno and equally, whilst Juventus are interested I can't see him wanting to join us either. It feels like is hyping it up to pressure Sosa and his club
Well if the stories are to be believed, we've had a £30m bid rejected as Porto want more. I don't believe it anyway as I think it's out team using the media to force the Sosa deal over the line
We've been linked with Galeno now as a Neto replacement. Hope we don't go for him, he's alright but he's a diving prick and wildly inconsistent.
It's great how knowledge Wolves fans just generally are now about the Portuguese league. It's understandable, but still pretty mad considering where they were a decade ago.
Our best young prospect Will Alves has signed a new deal until 2028, wouldn't be shocked if he was loaned out to a championship side soon
It’s been an hour since Solanke officially left and so far I’ve seen us linked with: Eddie Nketiah El Bil Toure Tammy Abraham Cameron Archer Probably others! But not Daka. That ship might have sailed? Not ideal, the world knowing we need a striker in a week or so and have a chunk of money. It’s a decision that’ll have a big bearing on our whole season. We have however found a much needed full back. https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1822255676065800230
