Ethan Nwaneri has more goals in the League Cup than Thierry Henry.

Amazed Henry only ever played 3 League Cup games? I know you used to play an awful lot of kids in LC games mind you.

I guess until Abramovich's Chelsea came along, and they had 2 good players for every position, most teams tended to have about16-18 players, with the bench guys usually being weaker than the starters. So that meant more roatation in the cups.

Made at least the semis three times while he was at the club. Just never used him.

An interesting stat. I suppose the argument would be should he (Henry) have played more and helped Arsenal potentially win it?

Liverpool's youngsters went and won it last season which justifies the approach a bit more. Arsenal put faith in the kids but haven't won it in over 30 years :shrug

My personal approach with this competition has been to try and get by as long as you can until the maybe the semis where you go stronger in it.

It becomes a balancing act but if you can get fortunate with the draws, winning it and staying fresh-ish for the run in is possible. Liverpool and City have both done it in recent years and while I still see gaps in our squad and beleive it's not quite as deep as the two previously mentioned clubs, I think it is capable of juggling the league cup along with the other three competitions. But like always, you need a little fortune.

    Every cup run needs luck.

If spurs win the league cup they are going to have beaten city, utd and then who knows of arsenal or lfc in the next round etc.

If they do it they'll probably have impact on the league season so it's up to them.

We won it last year but the injuries we had round it certainly destroyed our season later.

If Arsenal beat Newcastle today they will become only the 2nd team to have recorded 2,000 top flight wins. Liverpool were the first.

So football did start before 1992 then. Sky have lied to us.

Nathan Jones and Russell Martin have two Premier League wins between them. Both of those wins came against Everton.

    The People's Club.

    Absolute legend.

You still made the final and semi finals. How you lost to Birmingham I don't know.

We might have used the squad a couple of times but there wasn't that many "youths" playing last year.

Leicester just quansah and doak really.
    Bournemouth just quansah
    West ham just quansah
Fulham just bradley first leg, and Bradley amd quansah
    Chelsea final. Just bradley.

We might had brought some.subs on but in reality we were playing senior squad players in that Cup run so jones and Elliott wouldn't be considered kids to me.

He wasn't great for us as a young player who couldn't hit a barn door but he was a real worker.
