The perfect professional. In modern times when contracts seemingly aren't worth the paper they're written on, Bogarde forced Chelsea to follow his to the letter!

Veron was a flop for us, but that was based on the massive outlay for him. Technically you couldn't really lcassy him as one of the Prem's 'worst players'.

Thomas Brolin has got to be in with a shout here, I remember being awful; definitely on a bar with the Djemba twins!

I think a big surprise was Maxi Rodriguez at Liverpool. I always had a lot of time for him at Atleti and he was a cracking player for Argentina too, but whenever he tipped up for liverpool he looked like he didn't have a clue.

United's worst have gotta be between Taibi and Djemba Djemba, but we've had some absolute howlers. Kleberson, Bellion, Dong, Bebe, Prunier all spring to mind.

All time winner has got to be Ali Dia though. No contest!

Maxi wasn't anything like one of the worst premier league players, in any way whatsoever. Yeah his overall play wasn't superb, but he was a useful option and popped up with goals.

Apologies, didn't mean to insinuate he was one of the worst players ever in the Prem, but for me he'd fall into the same category as Veron would in terms of being woefully short of what was expected of them (major difference being the price tags, heh). I watch a ridiculous amount of Spanish football, and I remember actually double checking that the Maxi Liverpool got on a free was actually the same Maxi from Atleti, because he was unrecognisable as the same player for me.

Another one that's just occurred to me that I cant believe I didn't think of earlier: United's Liam Miller, bought from Celtic. He was the next Roy Keane, apparently :fail:

Was easily good enough until he did his knee in. Completely ruined him. Would never of destroyed the Championship/finished 8th in our first season in the Premiership without him.

Didn't realise he is Sagna's cousin either. Learn something new everyday.

Agree with Ali Dia, how he tricked Southampton into signing him before even taking part in a trial, then playing him, all before realising that he probably wouldnt get into the Cambrige United first team in the conference...makes him a genius, Souness and the saints coaching staff fools, and Dia the worst player in the prem.Kitson gets an honourable mention for me too, though as a Cambridge fan, it hurts to do so. Jeffers, Nugent, Eboue, Utaka also worth a shout.

Without doubt Bebe is the worst player I have ever seen in the Prem. Actually felt sorry for the lad, so out of his depth, was suppose to be at that game as well!

Edit: Honourable mentions go to Taibi and Djemba-Djemba.

This. Soon to have 3 relegations from the premier league on his CV.

You can add Kaspars Gorkss to the list as well.

He's not as bad as he is insinuated. For Madrid, he scored no higher than 11 goals all season, for Liverpool he managed 10. In his younger days he managed 15 goals total. His best season would be the season he bagged 10 goals the 2011-12 season when he bagged two hatricks. Not bad for a player that cost us nothing, only wages. I'm not sure assists, but he did set a few up for us.
