Honestly have no idea how he has played in the Premier League. I don't think he was good enough for the Championship as a no1. Prob not even a number 2.
The 2 confirmed bids we have for Sainz are from Napoli and Porto. With a large number of clubs in top leagues circling I wonder if we might end up a decent bit more than we'd have initially been expecting. Could well end up being £15m+ for a player in the last year of his deal.
I see Jobe has officially completed his move to Dortmund, I just don’t get the hype personally, certainly not the price tag that’s been thrown around. Still, we’ll happily take our slice of the pie, rumoured £5-7m, all helps with FFP.
See I’ve seen this bandied about a lot the last 24 hours. He has been brilliant & will continue to excel at a club where they’ll give him plenty of opportunities to shine. I’m not quite so sure he’s worth what they’ve paid for him as of yet but I think he’ll progress to a point where they’ll make a profit on him (plus we get 15% of whatever that fee may be).
It's certainly a fee paid with potential in mind. The one thing I'd say is that he's not bad at anything, in fact he's pretty decent at most things and he's already physically ready for a top club at 19. Jobe has obviously gotten both over and underrated thanks to his brother's reputation but he's seemingly not let it bother him, which I would think is a very good sign about his own personal mentality. Will be interesting to what aspects of his game they really focus on developing. He's mostly been an 8 or Deeper at Sunderland but I think hey might want to push him forwards. 13m rejected, pretty much the top end of what I was expecting we'd get a few weeks ago. Good thing is that an even bigger fee here means we can play even harder ball when it comes to Sargent.
Polish keeper at Leicester being linked today. Stolarczyk, a name the Norfolk dialect would love. Leicester triggered an option in his contract which means they might be selling. If all is well teams usually sign new deals.
Weird one. We were pretty much expecting Mads to be sold this summer and have Stol step up to number 1. And given they're our only 2 keepers on the books now after the departure of Iversen and Ward it'd seem a bit odd to be letting Jakub go because he's unlikely to be bringing in money worth selling him for, and selling him means we have to pretty much keep Mads on, which from a player perspective is great, from a financial one, not sure it makes a whole lot of sense. Anyway, it's been knocked back. Whatever that means with regards to 'interest'.
He's consistently been one of our best players up there for the whole time we've had him. He's turned out to be an amazing signing for us. He can still do a job up there as well, although I did think his legs might just be starting to go now. Still would be class down here though.
It's always seemed that out main target is the Sporting Lisbon keeper Kovacevic. Could certainly see a world where this tidbit of news has been floated by us as a creative negotiation tactic in that deal. Look how interested in other keepers we are ect.
yeah can't see that happening we've triggered his extension as he's expected to be our number 1 this season, its possible we'd sell as it would be pure profit but would have to be big money to sell him and opt to keep Mads instead
Shankland still not agreed a deal anywhere. I'd move on. Latest names loosely linked are Freddie woodman, cedric kipre, mikey moore, emil riis jakobsen
Media trying to stir things up with Mikey Moore having to choose between yourselves and us. I’m not convinced we’re interested tbh.
We want Youssef Chermiti on loan from Everton, but he won't be going anywhere until Everton sign another striker.
Supposedly Ryan Hardie has a £650k release clause, wouldn't be the worst of pick ups. Wrexham linked I think.
