The one that always gets me irrationally cross in Aldi is when the PA announces "dear customers, we are opening till number 3" followed a few minutes later by "member of staff to till 3". How about you staff the till then open it, not the other way round?
Is this personal to your store or a recording that plays in all of them? Worth a visit for this alone I feel.

Had blurry vision in my right eye for a week, occasionally accompanied by some flashing lights. Been to SpecSavers today and had lots of strange tests, and it seems I have the beginnings of a cataract which may require removal in "7 or 8 years". Otherwise my eyesight continues to be tickety boo, the blurriness is a 'floater' caused by the shrinking of the vitreous gel which can produce wavy collagen strands (fibrils). Time and tide . . .
Not so far, the shrinking of the gel is a natural aging process that can happen to anyone over 50 apparently. However during the process it can, in very, very rare cases snag the retina and cause further issues.
I can't complain, cost a tenner and I was in and out within an hour, albeit after filling in the forms on my phone the day before.

Me too. My parents have both had laser surgery for cataracts and they've both said it's like having the eyesight of a kestrel afterwards. Oh, and Stret is old enough to remember United signing Tommy Taylor from Barnsley..
This is going to sound a bit heartless, and it really isn't meant to be. But I find it mildly irritating that so often, whenever a tragedy or crime happens involving someone dying, there is a call for a law to be named after the victim.
No doubt this started in America. Does feel like the previous victims of a particular crime are not important and get forgotten about because now it is all about one person.
The first time I remember it being a thing was when Sarah Payne went missing in 2000 having been abducted and murdered by a known child sex offender. Sarah's Law was brought in to allow parents to request disclosure on anyone who may have contact with their children (or something along those lines). Looking it up - that was so named because in the US they had Megan's Law, so there's logic in your argument Taffy.
Amazon over excessive packaging. Ordered a roll of stickers for work. (6cm x 5cm x 6cm) It came in a box, large enough to fit a microwave in, also with tons of bubble wrap/cardboard streams inside too.
