Hi all, Please note that poor site performance today has been noted and reviewed. On logging in to the server, I noted that the load on the server was over 20x its capacity. This lead to significant delays as requests were queued awaiting processing. The server was rebooted, and this reboot took significantly longer than would be expected. When the server came back up the significant over-capacity load continued. That load has since reduced to acceptable levels; however, we do not yet know what caused it and will continue to investigate through log analysis. I do however have a full-time job and need to be in London shortly for a customer meeting so please be patient if further slow-downs occur and rest assured I am going to do my utmost to ensure you continue receiving the slick and reliable FF you're used to.
I know that's tongue in cheek, but I really don't believe that's the issue. I do suspect a DDoS or brute force attack of some kind, but not from them. More likely a small group of script-kiddies trying it on and really not getting very far - the site is very secure and where we slow down for a bit others may be compromised. It would seem that whoever was behind this, if indeed it was an attack, has now decided to give up trying.
I know, and you end up posting the same post twice like you just have It's better now, buddy. Just a small blip this morning. It happened to me, now you can remove one of the double posts like I did.
