I'm sort of glad its not hot here that often, some of the sights you see, astonishing people leave the house looking the way they do.
It's that hot in Somerset every time i move i sweat buckets,i need a second shower today but this time with cool water,it's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow i like topping up my tan but i can't stay out in it for more than 90 minutes.
I had the flat window open, but my wife closed it because she said she was cold. Nothing unusual, as it could be 90 °C and she would still say she is cold,
point out she can put more clothes on if she is cold, there's only so much people can take off when wearing summer clothes anyway follow the tips, easy enough to google and get an AI response.... - run cold water on wrists (I run my feet under the cold tap if night-time) - drink plenty of fluids - keep blinds/curtains closed - wear loose fitting clothing - don't eat cooked meals - have a through breeze not just window open from memory, some on this How to keep your yourself and your home cool in hot weather not sure they have sleep downstairs on their list, but probably not an option in a flat anyway (not that it is just you in the forum) although they say go into cooler spaces which is much the same just less specific still unable to get it through to colleagues about not delaying having the blinds down in the office, one has them up to deal with a smell but not sure the logic of that, heat on something smelly doesn't make it less smelly, unless she thinks the air will navigate through the window and find its way to wherever the smell is if unhindered by a blind..... also have a supply of ice cream or lollies, might not be practical for every day for large numbers of people but does raise spirits and always goes down well in two meanings of the phrase (literal and metaphorical) exercise whilst sitting down = chairobics..... just bear this in mind, nothing looks more stupid than contestants on music quiz shows trying to look hip and cool by swaying to the music or singing along............. should have seen my previous line manager listening to music and head moving around like that two headed creature at the Boonta Eve race.... (SW E1) apparently they're called Fode and Beed
It's raining here and feels so muggy and we are told to expect thunder and lightning later this afternoon which should make it feel comfortable.
Been a very warm humid day, had a few 2 minute showers but not the thunderstorms said we would get. Got caught in a sudden downpour when out in town and boy was it welcome.
Same here, very brief showers every so often but no sign of the predicted downpours. Temp gauge read 23C this afternoon but it felt a lot muggier.
31 degrees here, 33 tomorrow, then thunderstorms forecast. The duck army was too hot to venture onto the pond :
Thunderstorm of such intensity I seriously considered building a f##king ark, considering swimming back to my flat as it's still 27 degrees.
