Best performance I've seen from the boys this season. The decision to start Faal and Temi upfront worked wonders, with the two of them combining constantly in the first half and bringing others into play. Even before WSM went down to 10 men they looked distinctly average and nowhere near what you'd expect from 2nd in the league. And regarding Pearce my word he was a treat to watch. He was always good in the Isthmian but after promotion he just kicked it up a level!
What a day for us daggers, voice has gone and the other half’s little brother now wants a daggers kit instead of a united one this Christmas, I’m so proud of the result and the boys.
He is right the pitch is shit, cuts up really easy and very uneven. Lack of care, as he said in the interview we are a club who should be doing better
The pitch isn’t the best, but it’s certainly not the worst. Maybe the manager has got a cobb on,because considering how good Barnet are, they’ve failed to beat any of the top 12 away from home.
So nice to get a win up North, we don't do that very often. Change of the times? We'll see. I missed this, as I was with family in Leicestershire, and went to a rather bizarre game at The Molineux, with Bournemouth getting 3 pens and scoring them all. I've never seen a hattrick from the spot in normal time before. However, Bim looked on fire yesterday from the vid and it also looked a chalk and cheese performance from Woking on Tuesday. Great goal from him, I think that's 5 now since joining us. Weird that despite that being only our 6th win all season, we are now only five points off the paly offs and the next league game sees 'Pools visit The Hall. They are only three points above us now, so win that and that's more ground made up. At 0-0 Waters miss was so costly. But from an angle from a Halifax blogger, not only did he miss heightwise, it was also wide as well! At last we scored from a corner, Crowther had a good strike rate at Kings Lynn before joining us, so hopefully more to come from him in our opponents box. Good turnout as always with 348 Shrimpers in attendance and plenty of noise. I'd have taken a point easily before kick off, so my surprise and joy was totally at odds with the atmosphere around me yesterday.
Most, if not all, managers make excuses for a poor result and many of those excuses are borderline ridiculous
It's not great for our standards but calling it the worst in the league is crazy behaviour, couldn't even tell you when we last had a home game postponed, wonder if Barnet can say the same?
