I'm less confident than I was about a week ago. New manager bounce at Fylde. And we've got a few injuries in the squad, not least to a keeper that has only conceded 2 in 8. His back-up has conceded 7 in 5 games. And he's prone to being off the line. If you gamble then I'd suggest you get a bet on another Haughton screamer this weekend.
Can't decide if our system was exploited on Saturday or if we just had an off day defensively, maybe a bit of both? Either way, this could be an opportunity to try something different against decent opposition Hudson Ogle Raglan Monthe Kitching Conlon Lundstram Charsley Khan Garner Drummond
I find it odd we signed stretton and he cant get a sniff. Even 20 mins off the bench if he aint fit. Do seem to have a lot of average strikers in the squad now. One of them needs to step up. I did say last week i aint bothered about progression this year in the cup but would like to see us bounce back from defeat now. Especially infront of a home crowd.
Free hit for us. Expected to get beaten but if we manage to somehow win it might give us some confidence back
Proper banana skin for us given our current form but think we should just have enough, won’t be pretty though so I’m glad I’m working.
Yep, my thoughts exactly, my main concern is the fragility of our defence . It’ll be a confidence thing, first goal etc. Our body language was not good last week. Hopefully attending, might be a last-minute dash, so it had better be worth it…
Gosport have been in a decent run of form recently. No messing about, strongest side out and give ourselves the best chance to progress.
I think you’ll be fine honestly! Our away form this season has been abysmal. It took a 92nd minute winner against Salisbury in the last round and this past weekend we only just snuck a 0-1win due to a good header. At my most optimistic, it might be a replay at Twerton Park, but i see a comfortable 2-0 win for you lot.
Talking of abysmal…..we are on a very poor run, lost our mojo when we flogged off our strikers, and are currently playing without a CF (a poor man’s England…) First goal will be critical. We’d better win, or there’ll be trouble. No pressure, then..
We really should win our tie, home to a Weymouth side who're struggling and for once we're not in the sort of state where we cock up.
