I hope we have Husin and Kendall fit again. Even Walker on the bench, as we need more up front that Hopper offers. Also I'd like to see us get our high press going again and have Leon start.
We're creating hatfulls of chances and not always finishing, Pools rarely concede; nil nil or five four either way then.
Expecting a win v Braintree. Having seen how Carlisle dismantled them we need to do similar. They were quite solid at our place last season (though we won). So will be interesting to see how we get on.
Been pleasantly surprised at Scunthorpe's start to the season, I had them struggling alongside ourselves. Last night was the first time this season it was noticeable that the players were starting to tire, so would expect a couple of changes minimum.
We really need to get a win here but it's going to be tough. We've been the better team in both our last 2 away games but drawn due to crushing late equalisers. We have to learn to put teams away while we're on top. We've got 4 fit defenders for Saturday so those will be playing. Our starting keeper went off injured in the warm up yesterday so not sure what's happening there.
Have to beat Truro. If our players take it seriously and get on the front foot early on as they did against Braintree we have a good chance. If we piss about in the arrogant manner that we saw against Boreham wood and Solihull then we certainly won't win and will probably lose.
Sort of game that suits how we play, very much set up as a counter attacking side. I don't think we'll get anything but I won't be surprised if we do.
Truro’s strength is their teamwork ; they’ve basically last season’s promotion squad, and they play tried and tested stuff. High work rate , bombard the box with crosses and long throws, no particular finesse or technique . Shots weathered the initial intensity and were coming to grips with the game when our GK was sent off, so who knows .. Away from home, it would be a revelation if they went for it, so I’d expect you to win comfortably…. If you don’t piss about..
Has the makings of a good contest; our main concern is mini striker crisis with first Doidge out then Cardwell, not sure if latter will be fit but former definitely not. Goals from elsewhere too though. Two good managers as well.
I know why you guys haven't been at home. But why weren't the fixtures just swapped. So we played you at home this mid week for e.g. Sorry if already answered elsewhere on here. Just doesn't make much sense to have one team playing catch up so early on. That's before the cups and crap weather start.
Hopefully York will be rusty, we're still not at the races overall. At least only one of us has a mentalist in charge now.
Didn’t matter the fact we didn’t want to switch, we were forced to play Halifax at home. We now go there in December. Really hope they get relegated, oh maybe not cracking away trip.
I didn't think Truro were great to be honest, was confident that had 11 players remained on the pitch that we'd have gone on to win comfortably 2nd half
