Personally I think the NL will adjudicate a 2-1 win, we will get fined, player’s suspension won’t count and the news will be chip paper in short order.
Is that rule where if you have played a certain amount of mins, The result stands. Is it still in place.
I like Wealdstone so they know I'll be fair. It's a 3-0 walkover all day long to be honest. Can't just walk off, and you can't just say 2-1 either IMO. That could set a dangerous precedent in re: to end of season goal difference etc.
If what Andy Butler has said is true, and confirmed within the referee’s report, we deserve any punishment we get.
Can see a suspended point(s) deduction personally. Let the result stand, and lets Wealdstone management know they need to avoid anything else that can be construed as gamesmanship.
Just listened to Lakeland's post match interview and I have to say, one of the most honest post match reflections from a defeated manager I've heard lately. Full respect to him and I hope he does well at Halifax. Seems a decent fella from that brief insight.
A big fan of Lakeland so far, despite the mixed results. Says it how it is, for good or bad. Millington watched a totally different game to everyone else, particularly when we had lost. I think once we get key players fit, and we can get rid of the deadwood, (which Lakeland acknowledges himself) there’s the making of a decent team at this level.
Our game against Eastleigh being replayed is insane considering it was the 97th minute. At least they managed to get the Wealdstone game right. Very shameful attempt at pulling a fast one from Wealdstone
"Regulations state that while the home club are awarded three points, goals for and against are not to be added." So Scunthorpe have been awarded a 0-0 win?! Doesn't seem fair!
"The Wealdstone FC Board of Directors were in direct contact with the National League in the aftermath of Saturday’s events. We made clear our view that the correct outcome was for Scunthorpe United to be awarded the three points" Not quite sure how we tried to pull a fast one here by saying Scunny should be awarded the three points. That said, rules are a bit daft. Either 2-1 or 3-0 should be given. Not 0-0 Imagine we stay up by a goal..
Zero clarification on whether or not our suspended players are back though. Starbuck has now served 2 games of a 1 game suspension. Horton has served 4 games of a 3 game suspension
Hopefully they'll now deal with Butlers horrific behaviour at the end of the match. 3 game ban hopefully.
Sounds like Wealdstone decided that they couldn't be bothered to go out for 5 minutes to play out a 2-1 loss so just conceded the match
