Only Dubrovnik and a couple of day trips to the surrounding islands by boat (obviously). It's beautiful. The highlight for us was the fact that I booked a residential apartment off a local Uni student trying to earn a few bob renting his gaff out and when we got there we saw that the living room overlooked the old city wall and an orchard that smelt of pistachios and lemons. Lush. Photo's from my Travels.
I'm in Koh Lanta at the moment, killing time.while I wait on the visas for Australia. The beaches and the sunsets, it has to be said, are superb. Sent from my SM-J700F using Tapatalk
We went back when it was Yugoslavia, to Porec, but I suspect it will have changed since then! I've heard nothing but good reports anyway, so fingers crossed.
I did a week in dubrovnik two years ago in October, was 25 degrees, ****ing beautiful part of the world.
Went to Malta in May. Brussels at the end of May Going to book Portugal for July, to watch city pre season.
We're going on a couple this year after we get married in June. Straight to Malta after the wedding for 4 nights and then a 7 night trip to Rome, Florence and Venice in August.
My brothers moving out to Vietnam to teach in August. So i'm using that as my excuse to go back over to SE Asia for the second time this year. Was looking last night and I can do: Manchester - Ho Chi Minh (stay for a week) To Singapore (stay for 3 days) To Kuala Lumpur (Stay for 4 days) Back to Heathrow for £450 Lovely! Had to get it booked for that price
Going to book a last minute holiday in October. Looking at Fuerteventura. Any of you guys been? Worth visiting?
I was there in January. It's a volcanic island so it's pretty barren, and it can be extremely windy. We were in Jandia which is at the opposite end of the island to the airport so the coach transfer was a slog, but it's all cheap as chips and the weather will still be warm and sunny in October. We enjoyed it. I've just booked a fortnight in Costa Dorada, again it was dirt cheap at £1600 (for two) full board in a suite at a hotel that's right on the beach. I decided not to go all inclusive this time as the local grog is invariably putrid so I'd rather pay for the real stuff.
We went last October and stayed in Corralejo. It was very warm and the beaches were some of the best I’ve seen.
Been a while since I posted in this thread. I'm going to Dubai for a few days in November to watch the European Tour final event and then to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize for Christmas/New Year
Just back from a month in the US. Hopefully I'll squeeze in a weekend somewhere in Europe before the end of the year but no annual leave left to use for anything longer.
