Maybe I have been too focused on the bottom end of the table - no idea why that is

Are Forest not all but guaranteed play offs minor a major blunder?

If they lose, and we win, then we need a five goal swing to overtake them.

It's heavily in their favour, but it isn't impossible.

We specialise in these at this time of the season. Well, not usually July, but you know what I mean

Away to Reading - They have nothing to play for.

Forest at Home to Stoke - Stoke not mathetically safe.

5 goal swing isn't massive to be fair. I didn't notice this to be fair, I thought Cardiff were guaranteed 6th - making it an easier game for us.
    Very exciting for the neutral.

Stoke are mathematically safe mate. They're 5 points above Luton.

I suspect WBA will win comfortably. Cash strapped QPR are owed about half a million off WBA if WBA go up. So really QPR need WBA to beat them to help them out massively. Crazy situation.

Even if they're that cash strapped £500k will be nothing compared to whatever they'd get for Eze, Osayi-Samuel and Chair

For some reason I thought Stoke were on 51.

Forest win then. Stoke have had a slog of a season - so now will be on the beach. So as you were top 6.

The more the merrier in this current climate. No guarantee any potential sale money would be put back into the club anyway. The financial statement from March 2020 had debts of 58m and don't forget no parachute money this season, so revenue is already down about 15m from the previous season.

500k is literally pennies though to a football club with saleable assets worth at least £25m.

It's not massive in football terms but it would be about the equivalent of selling over 1000 extra season tickets for the sake of losing one game that doesn't mean anything to them now anyway.

4 changes. Furlong in for Townsend but going right back with O'Shea at left back. Bartley in for hegazi. Krovinovic In for Phillips. Robinson In for robson Kanu.

Bit unsure why hegazi has been dropped. Sawyers is the one who deserves to be dropped.

    Massive night ahead

We've put arguably our strongest side out, barring maybe two changes.

    Confident.

WBA will always be one of the teams I back every year as I have since 2003 and in the Championship especially they are always a contender. They are a great team and belong in the Premier League. I think they'll retain the second auto promotion space, even if I do really want to see Brentford finally make it to the Premier League and I feel like they may well blow it if they have to settle for play-offs. I think with current form, however, Fulham will conquer in the play-offs. I would have guessed Fulham will snatch the last automatic spot but I think its an unlikely possibility as I can't see WBA at the very least not beating QPR even if Brentford don't beat Barnsley.

So if we had beaten QPR; we would have pushed Nottm Forest out of the play-offs on current results.....

How on earth have Nottm Forest come so close to finishing 6th or 7th?!?!?

Urgh - we’ve actually started well but easy goal for Stoke.
