Spurs have looked really good v Everton in this first half. Having our best players available again will hopefully see our form pick up a bit. Everton have really struggled to deal with the pace we're playing at. They're preparing to make a double sub in the first 35 minutes. Edit* and now it's 1-1 having battered Everton for the majority of the half.
Big win for Spurs. We've got dragged in to a bit of a relegation scrap so a much needed win against a team down there with us. Most of the teams down there have dropped points this weekend. I have to say though, Spurs win it with one of the softest penalties I've ever seen. We were excellent in the first half but went in to the break level, I don't think our second half performance has merited a win.
Bit of a surprising upset at Leicester. Chelsea drop their first points of the season, a bonus point for Leicester in their fight to stay up.
one back from injury another goes out, Deanne Rose went off injured, not sure how bad, after just 10 mins but Shannon O'Brien played her first minutes of the season
No Bunny Shaw No Party ! Watched the Everton v M.City match , thought Everton well worthy to go in at half time 2-0 up & maybe should have been more especially if they're Nigerian forward wasn't so wasteful in the final 3rd , she's proper rapid , her & Posh's Rikki Jade-Jones would make a good couple City dominated possession 2nd half but were limp in the final 3rd , Chloe Kelly coming on as a sub was a plus point for them & cheap penalty to make it 2-1 came too late . Liverpool v Arsenal on Sky Showcase but Heidenheim v Stuttgart men's on Sky Sports Mix for me .
Good weekend for Arsenal women. Chelsea and City both drop points while they pick up the win at Liverpool. Bayern mid week, if they can secure a win there they'll top their group and be seeded for the quarter final draw. But make no mistake, there aren't any easy fixtures. Just hard ones and really ****ing hard ones
A missed opportunity for City. Chelsea won't drop many points so it's incredible they've actually increased their lead this weekend. Only saw the highlights but Everton looked good value for their win, Everton missed some really good chances. Arsenal's decent form continues. Russo in particular seems to be thriving with the change of manager. In other news the league cup draw was done today: Chelsea v Durham Tottenham v West Ham Manchester United v Manchester City Brighton v Arsenal. The big clubs entering the cups so late on is such a helping hand. The top 3 entered at the QF stage and have all avoided eachother too so one of them will win this unless United can produce another 'upset' in the cup. The draw for the 2025 Euros is also today I believe.
England v Wales at the Euros . Tough group too . Women's Euro 2025 draw: England and Wales in same group
Cymru up against teams ranked 4, 10 and 11 in the World. Looking ominous but a chance to keep improving.
Renee Slegers: Arsenal name permanent head coach after impressive interim spell from former Netherlands midfielder Surprised it took so long but finally given the job.
Manchester Derby x 2 coming up and both clash with City men playing, absolute bellends Arsenal men and Women clash next Wednesday as well, what's the point in promoting the womans game?
We've been a bit better at that this season. We've moved a few of the women's games so that they don't clash with the men's games and people can see both. I think this weekend might have been another that moved, although there's still a little overlap (women 12:30, men 2pm)
Like ive said before i gave up my season tickets at the women due to this , not like they play every week so no excuse for it
Yeah it's really short-sighted by a lot of the clubs. You shouldn't have to choose between them if you want to see both, obviously some won't but it's disappointing for those that do.
