Hard to get too excited until you play eachother. The head-to-head games can be quite decisive when the top teams drop so few points. Not sure when Chelsea last lost a league game but it has been a while. I don't think their manager has lost a league game yet.
Chelsea won 6-0 away from home in the Champions league . Both Roma and Real Madrid fail to win at home . The latter with a late equaliser v Paris FC
Easy for Arsenal. Bayern in the women’s game are not exactly European pedigree unlike their men’s counterparts.
Should not have happened. Arsenal had that under control and shat their underwear just like Sweden did against England, but worse. This whole women’s football and Lionesses is just media hype anyway. I’ve come to release how awful the lack of quality is; it’s worse than Men’s Tier 10 football on their level of the league pyramid.
Just watched the women's Tyne-Wear derby on WSL 2 You Tube. Newcastle winning 3-1 at St James Park in front of over 18k, with a decent away following. Very low quality affair, but plenty of drama. Sunderland missed a pen, Newcastle score a few minutes later then another a couple of minutes after that. Sunderland pulled one back shortly after but Newcastle scored another. Their first two goals and ours coming from corners. Some terrible defending. Neither side are heading for WSL 1.
That's a shame, nearly 20k down on the 38k that attended last seasons equivalent match (although that was in March rather than November) - seems the club hasn't marketed it as well this season.
Aye it's a big drop off and I think probably a mix of both things you mentioned. The weather was atrocious on Saturday, so maybe people were expecting much of the same on Sunday. Although it didn't turn out to be as bad, it's was still crap weather.
