Bellamy has done a very good job - looks like a really exiting team .

Key to only lose by 1 goal too as gives Wales a chance to win the head to head?

    Morning after the night before.

Think most Welsh fans were thinking game over at 0-3. To come back to 3 each was something never seen before for Wales.

To put it into perspective we had quite a few lads who play Championship football up against a top side.

Obviously disappointed we lost but look back with pride.

And he's just signed for Stoke . Clearly makes poor life choices. Must be regretting signing for us after that performance just increased his value

Any idea how he did there? I know they struggled against relegation all season.

How did he do for you? I heard he was your best player a few years ago when you reached the Championship playoff final and lost to Forest. But since then when things started to go wrong he sulked a bit and hid rather than rolling his sleeves up and fighting. Fair summary?

Don’t think his loan spell at Nantes or Blackburn went well. He was excellent for us when we finished 3rd, something like 17 assists that season, got close to double figure assists another season too.
I rate him , clearly talented but was always talk about his attitude , Bellamy seems to really suit him and with it being a World Cup year I doubt you would have problems.

Yeah that makes sense, explains how we've been able to get him and haven't been gazumped by the parachute clubs.

I'm a bit more optimistic about this one than usual. Sounds like the kind of business we need to make, talented players who have had problems and need an arm round their shoulder and maybe a kick up the arse to restart their careers. FFP won't let us compete for the best players available so we have to be smart and go for potential and those who have proven they have the ability and aren't too old to rehabilitate. It's how we got things going in the first place in the 2000s under Pulis with players like Fuller, Etherington, Beattie, Pennant etc. Players with loads of talent who'd either had injury problems or personal issues in their careers and had talent well beyond what we could have afforded at the time had they not had those issues. And we did a very good job of getting the best out of them and managing their problems.

Good luck next season and I hope you get out of that awful division.

Ah I just googled him last night and it said he signed for Stoke from you guys. Didn't even think that he could have been out on loan.

I can see why he managed to get those numbers with regards to assists.....I liked that he didn't seem to overplay....beats his man and then puts the ball in.

Those attributes are exactly what we need. We've had too many paceless 'inverted wingers' in recent years who always cut inside and run into trouble, congesting the pitch. We need a proper winger who can beat his man out wide and get a cross in. Or cut in once he's beaten his man and gotten to the by line. Next on the list though, a striker who's a threat in the air. No good having someone who can cross if you've got the kind of strikers we usually have who offer zero threat in the air.

And what's the view on Ancelloti being the Brazil manager and not the Italy manager?

Ancelotti here is like God, he can do whatever he wants. Maybe it’s better for him to coach Brazil right now, he wouldn’t do better with our team right now.

Surely if he's like a god then he would be able to a better job with your team right now?

Palestine miss out on the next round of the Asian qualifiers with a 97th minute penalty for Oman.

UAE, Qatar, Saudi, Oman, Indonesia and Iraq left in it. Amazing how terrible China are really

I normally stick a couple of quid on England for fun but I'm not sure I'll even bother next year. It was going to be hard enough in the hot conditions anyway but it feels like we're going back to the Capello years. The football's dreadful, the selections are odd and the players don't look happy. Why the FA buckled and undid all the good work of the past eight years is beyond me. If not Southgate it should have been another (ideally English) coach with similar qualities.

Maybe I'll be proven wrong but I'll be astounded if we even make it past the quarters :zzz

Bermuda reach the third round of Concacaf qualifying for the first time ever with a 2-1 win over Cuba who were ahead of them. Reggie Lambe with the winner who used to be at Mansfield and Carlisle.. now playing at step 7 for Needham Market! That’ll live long in the memory!

Australia have struggled for most of the qualifying campaign but have pulled it out of the bag. Good win last Thursday against Japan (despite being 2nd best for pretty much all the game) and beat Saudi Arabia this morning to confirm qualification.
