1982 was the earliest one i can remember. Coming home from school and watching Brazil strut their stuff was brilliant. Was gutted when they lost to Italy. Got the Panini sticker book from the tournament. Only needed around 10 to fill it. Still got the poster to fill in the scores and fixtures in my scrawly kids writing.

Probably something to do with Charlton being English but if ye were to listen to Goalkick he would tell you we burnt it after the game because we hate you :rolleyes.

    Loved this goal from Bergkamp...

I used to love Roberto Baggio, I remember before the 94 final everyone was dubbing it Baggio vs Romario, needless to say it was a dire final, I watched it on my brothers black n white TV, he turned it round by going back to Juventus and winning the Scudetto the following season

this match was one I remember the most from that World Cup especially this goal:

this game I'll never forget too:

First World cup i actually remember is 74 , remember wanting Scotland to win as it included 5 then Leeds players , who had just won the old division 1 title , in Lorimer , Harvery, Bremner, Jordan & Mcqueen
remember David Coleman commeanting and saying " Lorimer 1/0

Funny thing is some Say thats scotlands best ever wc team, they had a tough group against the current Champions and Yugoslavia who were then one of best in Europe at time , and Scotland remanied undeatded for the 3 games, they were in, i was really sad they, lost, unlike the Laughter of 4 years later
