Was watching Juve v Inter and noticed that when a goal is scored that ball is taken to the sidelines and placed in a bag. Had to Google to see what on earth that was all about.

    Cool.

They always do it after the first goal in every Serie A match (or every goal in general? They always show the man putting the ball in the bag only after the first goal).

Still haven't understood why lol I mean I know they sell it but I don't where and why.

I would like to think the proceeds of the sale go to a charity. Be well cool though owning the very ball that was used to score a goal.

Game was half-gash though. First half was decent enough but Juve are still 100% reliant on Chiesa to create something (which he did, decent finish from Vlahovic) but it's very poor against such an organized defence like Inter. Inter got their goal back quickly enough via Lautaro and looked much more threatening but you could just tell by half-time that both sides were happy a share of the spoils. This made for a very bad 2nd half but hey at least the 1st half was ok (unlike some proper snoozefests like the Rome derby).

Got a warm sending off from the fans for a change. He did what he could with an aging squad that don't really have much going forward when Dybala is injured (which happens a often). Got them a trophy so reckon it's mission accomplished from José.

Reckon he should coach a national side now.

Was never really in doubt really. Inter have been rocking the league with Lautaro & Thurmam in great form while Juve have next to nothing going forward. The poor showing last night showed once again how little Allegri has to offer with the ball. Chiesa (usually one if not the top creator of the team) was also misused playing up top next to Milik when he's obviously a winger. Oh and the defending on the Udi goal was sunday league standard.
What is more worrying is that this Juve side is the 2nd best side in the league this season...

Just seen this on Sky Sports News & can't believe for one minute he's intentionally taken a banned substance but if his appeal fails it ends his career .

You can't? I'm convinced he was hooked on that for ages.

IMG_3544.jpeg Calamitous weekend for Udinese, losing in last minute added time to fellow muck-dwellers Verona. Then, fellow bottom-feeders all get upset wins or draws. But for goal differential, Udinese would be in the Relegation Zone.

And Gerard Deolofeu’s knee injury is so bad that he says he may never play again.

Udinese need a result Thursday in the continuation of last weekend’s abandoned Roma match.

Watching the Milan derby (Inter won of course, don't be fooled by the narrow scoreline (2-1), the nerrazzuri are by far the better team), I couldn't help but notice this:

    AC Milan v AS Roma

So two Italian sides are going to travel to the most isolated place in the world just 5 days after the season ends! Absolutely ridiculous!

I suppose. After jet-lagging it to Western Australia I wonder how well the sides can live up to the organizers’ hype: “experience the atmosphere of Italian football at its best.”

What else is ridiculous is Udinese losing their 2nd straight game by conceding in the last minute of injury time this afternoon. Making their battle against relegation even more serious. Fun.

Sounds just like us - probably does with a lot of our ex players.

Trying times for your club indeed but to be fair Udinese has been in mid-table mediocrity for the last decade so maybe a couple of years down in the B is what the club needs to regroup. Would be historic though, this club hasn't gone down in absolute ages!
