I might've taken issue with the "someone you have to have a lot of respect for" comment, but the rest of it was just general professional pleasantries, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
And probably had to be positive as Trump was in the McLaren camp . Probably try and take credit for it !
That’s all it was. He arguably shouldn’t have been invited but he was, and Lando was just being professional about it. I mean he’s an arsehole but he’s still an ex President of the USA.
Awesome stuff from Norris, well pleased for him, hopefully the Mclaren's can take it to RB for the rest of the year as they looks genuinely quick at Miami. As for Miami, that race was probably the best one we've had there but it's still such an awful track. Why does Liberty Media think these shit street circuits make for good racing?
Well, I don't mind that particularly, but there's loads of space in America why can't the Miami one be at a proper track? They'd still make bank, pretty sure COTA makes a lot of money hence the investment into a theme park alongside the track.
Imagine being endorced by a convicted rapist/crook? I'm pretty sure plenty were holding their noses in the Mclaren camp Maybe it was the orange that attracted him?
Remember not long ago they tested some “mudflap” type things to reduce spray in wet races. This is their latest revision.
I mentioned this on Twitter. Or even going from wets to slicks you’ll want them covers off too, they’ll add a shitload of drag.
They might not tbh. They are a bit bigger than tyres but not massively so they could be surprisingly helpful but they look utterly ridiculous
Not just to do with size, it’s how air flows through them. If a race is declared wet and they just have to stay on the for the whole time that would be stupid. I’d rather them removable (fairly easily) and it would be up to the teams if they wanted to sacrifice that extra time in the pit to gain on track.
I just don't know why in ye olden days we could drive round and have great races in the wet and now suddenly with fat tyres we can't? I have never got to the bottom of this one. How can cars be generating thst.much more spray even if the tyres are fatter at the back.
I don’t understand. Heavier cars and bigger tyres will create more spray. They will displace more water. Definitely a stupid idea on the whole though, can only assume it’s more of a safety/visiblity issue than trying to improve wet racing.
First sighting of the Ferrari shark mouth side pod inlets at a filming day today. To be introduced at Imola, directly stolen from Red Bull and along with other upgrades are meant to be worth potentially a quarter of a second Feeling a little more optimistic about this season on top of last weekend. Can’t wait for Max to win by 40 seconds.
There's nothing that can't be replicated in that red bull and hopefully the pipe line has now been firmly crimped by newey going. In the end this still goes down to stability, power, downforce and drag. The power seems to have equalised a long time ago so we are really just seeing one driver in a car that suits him that had lowest tyre deg and best stability. Now maclaren have looked to replicate the tyre deg. I honestly have expected someone to get closer by now. All red bull can work on is shaving off drag and weight while the other teams focus on trying to replicate their speed. I expect verstappen to win this still as there's not one significant consistent rival. I expect perez to vanish into the pack I expect sainz and norris to be more regular contenders but so far le clerc hasn't got three.
Yet another USA race. Shows how dumb it is too when it says “circuit planning remains ongoing”. They’ll agree a race in a city before they even know where the race will take place. Street circuit no doubt.
