They're f*cked, they know they're f*cked, it's going to be a complete whitewash of these horrible bastards, so they'll cling onto power as long as they possibly can and use the time they have left to make sure their mates and the people they serve come out of it as best as they can possibly manage.

Standard tory arseholes, in it for themselves and f*ck the rest of us.

I agree in principle and I think councils, if I'm remembering the rules correctly, can choose not to call a by-election if a seat becomes vacant within six months of the end of the term. Of course, the practical problem in terms of a Parliamentary constituency is that the end of a term is mostly within the gift of the Government of the day and we haven't yet reached the equivalent point as for a council.

The usual way out of this sort of situation is to declare war against someone.
    Who's available?

With an army that could all fit inside Old Trafford? We might be able to give San Marino a bit of a fright?

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has hinted a general election could be held in October.

He told a Lords Committee the government's next spending review had to be completed before next April and "if the general election is in October that will mean it's very, very tight".

The latest date an election could legally take place is 28 January 2025.

The PM has said his "working assumption" is one will be held in the second half of this year.

Last week Rishi Sunak also ruled out polling day being on 2 May, the date when local elections are already taking place.

It's projected seats based on vote share, although Reform are polling relatively well it's not enough to translate to winning any constituencies (similar to how previous iterations of the party such as UKIP and the Brexit party fared).

it's not going to happen though. even with the level of dissatisfaction they are not going that low when push comes to shove.

1997 was probably my first adult election really. I remember kinnock failing to convince before thst.

    they still got 165 seats.

while the corruption and fascism is unprecedented I just can't see them less than 100.

Oh yeah I agree with that, no way they get less than 100 seats but I don't think it will be as many as 150.

My reply was just on why Reform were missing from the graphic.
