One of my best memories supporting Southend. I was only 15 and it was a great night. Bloody freezing though.

Altrincham held Spurs to a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane that night and got a replay at Maine Road.

The original tie was supposed to be played on 6 January (Was Southend's or was it delayed to be on TV?) but a lot of games were called off that weekend because of the weather. I think only 4 games went ahead on the Saturday. Wrexham didn't get their game on until 1 February - 10 days after Arsenal and Sheffield Wenesday had played their 4th replay
