Hi guys, Really looking forward to our clash on Boxing Day. We sold out the away end in four days and a lot of fans missed out. Thankfully I managed to get two! With there being no public transport we'll all be driving down. Just wondering where's the best place to park within walking distance of the stadium/a half decent pub? I assume most fans will head for the Wetherspoons on Christchurch Road, but I'd rather go somewhere with Sky if possible. Thanks in advance and congratulations on your win today. Fully deserved
Probably still nursing hangovers You may want to head towards the town centre, area called Lansdowne. There's a 'Spoons which is common with away fans, as well as various other pubs which you may prefer by the sounds. O'Neils and Littern Tree both have Sky on TV. Also benefits from side road parking between it and Dean Court as long as you don't mind a bit of a walk. Go past the first exit you see signposted football traffic off the dual carriageway, carry on you'll see a second exit for football traffic straight after. Up the ramp to the roundabout and take a left. Left again to go towards the ground, or right to go towards the pubs. Take your pick which you want to be nearer and make use of the side roads. Head towards the town centre for pubs. Can get a taxi from the rank nearby up to the ground if you don't fancy the half hour walk back from the pub.
We drank in a pub right near Pokesdown station which was alright and walking distance to the ground. Can't remember the name though! Also had a few in the Spoons central.
Sounds like The Bell? We were considering heading there. Looks like a good location. Cheers for the directions AFCB-Nutter. Is there much street parking between Lansdowne and the ground? I stayed at a B&B near the ASDA once so I kind of know that area pub-wise. Thought it would've been too far to walk but if we can park halfway it'd probably be alright.
You'll find street parking if you get there relatively early, it's still only an 11,400 capacity stadium!
Yeah I keep forgetting Love it. Which pub's better? The Bell or the Cricketers? Prob going to head to one of those as they're both within easy walking distance.
Cricketers is fine for a swift pint and a natter with a few Cherries fans, but The Bell is a bit nicer.
Congrats Bournemouth, you've offically made the big time. You now have your very own clueless foreign fan.
