Genuinely what does everyone think of this? It seems now he's in the clear, but I find it hard to believe that 9 women lied.
Don’t know but suspect lawyers on both sides looked into every detail to come up with reasons to debunk the other .
The latter is what I think of this. Unfortunately, a miniscule amount of rapists actually get convicted, even amongst those who do end up on trial. A not guilty verdict doesn't mean a innocent verdict - all it means is that a standard if evidence to put the matter beyond all lawful doubt wasn't found. And, with rape, it's extremely difficult to remove all lawful doubt. Add to that, the rich can hire the best of the best of lawyers which improves their chances of avoiding a conviction... it might not have been found guilty in a court of law, but personally, I know what I think about him.
Walks out the court after a 2 year hold on his life and first thing happens is Gary Cotterill is there asking him about football, should of hit him.
*Still thinks he's guilty of rape* 9 counts of rape ,roll out a 'highly paid legal team and the Candyman is on his toes ' Life as a grossly overrated football player still 'unfortunately brings in money enough to buy innocence '
A bit close to home as our sister club, it'll be funded by our owner. Not sure how I feel about that.
