Can see another nail being driven into the coffin of Poch's reputation here. Brentford fighting to stay away from that impending 18th spot relegation scrap, and they're at home. I can see them being hungrier. 2-1
Gutted to only get a point in the end, but could be a priceless point come the end of the season. Had the chances to win. Sloppy goal to give away a lead is the consistent narrative of the season. Given none of the back 5 are first choice I’ll take it.
Probably a fair result for both teams in the end. Sloppy goals and wasted chances at both ends so either team could have nicked it on another day. Poor result for us once again.
Another waste of a day….. Sooner Pochettino goes the better. Teams lacks direction, leadership, style. Side to side then backwards and repeat. Started off playing a back 5 which Brentford exploited by playing balls down the wing and catching us out as the 2 goals we conceded showed. What ever he says at half time must be mind boggling because we come out and play worse and concede every time. Same as Wednesday against Leeds.
Chelsea fans losing their shit and calling for Mourinho No surprise when you opt for a club due to trophies won in the decade you were born. 1 title in their history prior to Roman, not even a 2nd place and a couple of 3rd place finishes. Theyve literally created a fanbase that demand success and will throw the toys out when it doesn't happen lol
You've got a whole generation of Chelsea fans that have only ever known success. Not glory hunters but like the next generation of fans that may have been born around the turn of the millenium that are now dealing with something completely foreign to them. I don't feel sorry for them but like in the space of a single summer, they've gone from being a top 4 side that very recently won the Champions League to a bang average mid table side. I'm not surprised they are angry and confused and calling for the stuff that comforts them. I'm more convinced than ever that they are in a position where financially they cannot sack Pochettino. They ditched Tuchel quite quickly, gave up on Potter after 5-6 months....I find it hard to believe thay would suddenly change their thought process regarding Pochettino. I know they are still in the FA Cup and barring one more kind draw, have a 'easy' route to the final but it's been such a poor season. If he was sacked, no one would dispute it.
Poch’s short contract gives some room financially I’d imagine. Gives the impression they weren’t convinced on him from the get go, or simply was risk management. I’d be surprised if they aren’t working on a contingency plan.
