Well done mate Very sharp you are today. Look out for other deliberate mistakes i will make as the day draws on
The best album category has been called a farce in some of the media after all but 2 of the albums were released in 2000 and not 2001. Same goes for all awards dido's up for id say and craig david who did **** all last year.
Erm am I thinking of the wrong awards here or do the Brits not only happen every like 16 months or so?? I'm 99.9% sure its longer than just 1 year so that could account for some of the strange nominations couldn't it?! Unless they've changed it or something!
Best British Newcomer: Dido Best British Male: Sir Elton John Best British Female: Dido Best British Group: Gorillaz Best British single: Daniel Beddingfield Best British Dance Act: Fatboy Slim Best British Album: Dido Best British Video: Fatboy Slim Best International Male: Dr Dre Best International female: Alicia Keys Best International Newcomer: Linkin Park Best International Album: none of the above: ..Hybrid Theory Best International Group: Daft Punk..Limp Bizkit Best Pop Act: Westlife :drums:
id have to agree about the state of the music industry, but it aint just the british one, its the whole lot i cant remember the last time i bought an album less than 5 years after it was released.(it was probably the masterplan) there just isnt any decent new stuff
Best British Newcomer: Atomic Kitten Best British Male: Robbie Williams Best British Female: Sophie Ellis Bextor Best British Group: Travis Best British Single: 'Whole Again', Atomic Kitten Best British Dance Act: Fatboy Slim Mastercard Best British Album: 'The Invisible Band', Travis. Best British Video: 'Sing', Travis Best International Male: Ryan Adams Best International Female: Kylie Minogue Best International Newcomer: Anastacia Best International Album: 'Fever', Kylie Minogue Best International Group: REM Best Pop Act: Kylie Minogue Out of the choices that is my opinion but i don't really listen to a lot of chart music any more, the best bands are the undiscovered talents before they become big headed and crap with fame!
The Brits rules seem to be made up as they go along.U2 should certainly have been nominated, whilst Craig David should have won at least one award last year. They are a joke at times.Atomic Kitten and Dido best newcomer, they were around last year lol. Anyway here are my votes from the selected nominees: Best British Newcomer: Dido Best British Male: Robbie Williams Best British Female: Dido Best British Group: Travis Best British Single: 'Don't Stop Movin'', S Club 7(Where was Castles in the Sky?) Best British Dance Act: Craig David Mastercard Best British Album: 'No Angel', Dido Best British Video: 'Weapon Of Choice', Fatboy Slim Best International Male: Shaggy Best International Female: Kylie Minogue Best International Newcomer: Nelly Furtado Best International Album: 'Fever', Kylie Minogue Best International Group: REM Best Pop Act: S Club 7
They are a total farce. How can Atomic Kitten be nominated Best Newcomer 2 years in a row? (How can Atomic Kitten be nominated BEst Newcomer at all?) How can the Brit award 2002 for Best Album go to Radiohead or Craig David, when their albums were released in 2000! And Radiohead released 2 more albums in 2001 anyway, why wasnt one of them chosen instead? For the record, my own choices out of those groups would be Best British Newcomer: Elbow Best British Male: Aphex Twin Best British Female: PJ Harvey Best British Group: Radiohead Best British Single: 'Gotta Get Thru This' - Daniel Bedingfield Best British Dance Act: Basement Jaxx Mastercard Best British Album: 'Kid A', Radiohead Best British Video: 'Where's Your Head At', Basement Jaxx Best International Male: Bob Dylan Best International Female: Alicia Keys Best International Newcomer: The Strokes Best International Album: 'Is This It', The Strokes Best International Group: The Strokes And Shilliday - there is LOADS of good new stuff, just not if you limit yourself to Top of the Pops and Radio 1. The Brits (like TOTP and R1) are all about PUBLIC taste, and we all know the Public has **** taste! Mercury Music Prize - most of the albums on there are probably worth a look - Radioheads and Elbows CERTAINLY are. I also think Gorillaz are ****. Damon Albarn tries and fails to make them 'credible'.
Best Male; three bloody inbreds, a washed up indie singer and the greatest musical mind of his generation. :
