So come on, hands up who's heard of these? The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Im sure that if the new Oasis album is a flop (and I sure as hell hope it wont be!) then these guys can seriously save rock 'n roll. I honestly don't rate The Strokes (from the songs which i've heard as I don't personally own their album). I think people have just been starved of good rock 'n roll for too long and wanted to jump on anything that came about. Anyway, if you haven't heard of these guys, keep an eye out for them!
I bought their debut album about a month ago, and did a topic about them then. Initially I was a bit luke-warm about the album, but I'm still listening to it now as if it was just new, and Im realising it IS actually a great album. They're nothing like The Strokes (and why does Rock n Roll always need saving apparently?) but I would definately recommend the album and I'll be looking out to see if they tour it. They are on the NME tour but thats sold out in Glasgow
