Massive point for us. If we can beat Brugge and young boys we're through

Missed the game, since I had to wake up early. Seems Kelleher had another great game. Very fortunate to have such a fantastic deputy.

Yeah he was flawless. Can't blame the lad wanting away, far too good to be a second choice. He's better than half of the PL first choice keepers.

Insane "New UCL Non-Superliga Yes It Is" so far. Dortmund (leader) thrashed Celtic just to drop like a stone to the 11th spot.

    Barça is bakkkk MFs...

Happens in every league when you lose 1 out of 3 matches at the beginning of the season. No disgrace to lose in Madrid (but to get 5 goals in one half after being ahead 2-0 in the first, though). Anyway still a lot of matches to be played and I'm sure Borussia will qualify with ease

Yeah, Impressive. Tbh I'm not disappointed because I'm glad for Hansi Flick. It shows he's more a club coach than for a national team.
Tbh I have no explanation for Bayern's failure yesterday, they seemed ok before but yesterday was bad.

I just looked it up, since the 2nd Semi-final of the Champions League 2014/2015 (3-2 after losing the first 0-3) Bayern dominated Barcelona in every match, 6 Wins in a row with a goal difference 22-4 (the last 4 wins even without conceding a goal). Unbelievable this one yesterday.

After 2 away matches Bayern will have a home match next week (against Benfica). I'm sure this will clean their balance again

    ***************
Well I got 1 out of 3 right. My usual rate

Overall a bad matchday for the 5 Bundesliga clubs 1W-1D-3L

Only VfB Stuttgart with a great match, winning at Juve and giving them their first loss of the season. Even their coach Thiago Motta praised the Schwaben afterwards (and this after a 0-4 away loss in the Bundesliga to Bayern).

We were good value for the win for 75 minutes, let it slack a little later on but considering the utter bafflement of the penalty that wasn't given I think we can chalk that off a littlez at some point away at a Pot 1 team you'll probably be under the cosh a little.

Won our opening 6 away games in a season for the first time in our history, can't say it hasn't been an encouraging start from Arne, a Slot machine (so far)...

Madrid are capable of taking a game away from anyone in a flurry of madness (I've seen it first hand!), but I do think that showed up Sahin's lack of experience. Dortmund were still relatively comfortable until Sahin went defensive early, bringing on Anton for Bynoe-Gittens. He was the outlet pushing Madrid back and it was far too early to give all the initiative to Madrid at the Bernabeu. Hopefully it's an experience he'll learn from, because I thought they did very well before that!

The consummate professional performance ,basically chock full of the descriptions that Slot's game is quickly being associated with, controlled measured and consistent and we saw little to suggest this is going to change anytime soon. Just completely bossed it for three quarters of the match and defended as a team when those levels of dominance experienced a lull.

Who would have predicted Villa top after three games in.

That was not in the script, how dare they do that.

Yes, Nuri Sahin is still very inexperienced and he already made some coaching errors before e.g when Borussia lost 1-5 in the Bundesliga at VfB Stuttgart. But he seems very dedicated, the question is will be have enough time?
When Borussia named Sahin their coach after sacking Edin Terzic they took a risk but they must have seen something in Sahin as coach.

Is it really so simple? Idk but maybe we should ask zippy who seems to have vanished (after Bayern got the 0-1 in under a minute? ) ;)

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Bayern will qualify, too. Still 5 matches to play (Benfica, PSG, Donetsk, Feyenoord and Bratislava). I predict they won't lose any of these and 4-5 wins.

Leverkusen visit Anfield tomorrow, and whole they haven't yet hit their heights of last season, they've still only lost once sor far this season, and are also have an unbeaten start in this competition like us. Will prove a tricky test and an Alonso return.

I'd guess at 2/3 changes on our end, Robertson in for Tsimikas, Diaz for Gakpo & although Konate has confirmed he's ok he may not be risked, Joe Gomez was outstanding when he replaced him at the weekend.

We've got Inter. I would play a bit of a rotated side but knowing Arteta, I don't think that would happen.

Leipzig, Atletico and AC Milan all could do with a result.

Bayern fans sending back their CL tickets for the "away" game v Donetsk in Gelsenkirchen. Bayern fans are being charged from €52, fans of Bergamo had cheapest tickets priced €23 and Young Boys started at €26.
Bayern supporters groups are calling for fans to boycott the game due to the rip off and it seems to be working as fans are returning their tickets for a refund in their thousands.

Well done Bayern fans, more fans need to take pro active action like this instead of just moaning on You Tube channels.

What an obnoxious little cretin, no wonder we English are disliked across the continent.
