The beers are in and I’m getting nervous Thought we were the better side last week but need to show a lot more composure in the final third. Come on you foxes
Schmeichel, Justin, Evans, Fofana, Pereira, Dewsbury-Hall, Tielemans, Maddison, Barnes, Lookman, Vardy. Subs: Ward, Soyuncu, Albrighton, Iheanacho, Perez, Amartey, Choudhury, Vestergaard, Castagne, Daka, Thomas, Soumare.
you seriously think he is good enough to be starting European semi finals? no, he's a decent squad player but shouldn't be starting the important matches and by the way he was massively at fault for their goal, so the point was proven
Ok so we’ll forget about his goal and assist that got us this far. I’m not saying he should start every game but until recently Lookman hasn’t been any better and Barnes is weak defensively. The only issue I have is you constantly banging on about one of our longest serving players.
then maybe a professional footballer should actually improve, same as I will always bang on about Kasper being shit in the air and his terrible distribution, these aren't young players, their weaknesses should have shown some sign of improvement by now
Albrighton on the bench is 100% the right move. Roma found him easy to contain and we only have 1 guy in the box to hit with his deliveries anyway. Lookman did well on both sides against them and while Barnes was still well off it, if he does get into his stride he’s the most dangerous of all 3.
Barnes wasn't well off it, he's still been our most dangerous player, he set up the goal last week too, doesn't get an assist because its an O.G. and if Maddison passes to him he had a tap in at the end, Rodgers has been calling him for losing possession but lets others off all season for the same thing. Its notable that when he came back into the side he was more direct and tearing past full backs but then he becomes more like the rest of them, same goes for Lookman, its almost like they are being coached to not run at players. When Thomas first played he got to the byline and whipped balls in, when was the last time he did that? I get the feeling our attacking players are at their best when they ignore the instructions
Albrighton has had a very good season, albeit largely playing at right-back and right wing-back. Don't have a problem with him not starting, but he's still plenty good enough. Anyway, love Danny Simpson keep saying "we", you can tell he still loves the club,
He was. He misplaced passes, took heavy touches and didn’t link up as well as you’d expect. He had 2 important moments in the match at either end of the pitch but at his best you’d get much more than that from him.
