Nirvana- Man Who Sold the World Metallica- Turn the Page + Whiskey in the Jar Oceansize and Nightwish- Walking in the Air (not necessarily better but very different in their own styles)
It may not be better than the original, but in football parlance this one hits the woodwork and bounces just out..
Devilishly different and with fresh lyrics added it kind of throws the original around like a rag doll gripped in gritted teeth.
Doesn't edge the original for me because I've known it so long but on first hearing it's OK. Original was pretty special in the days when we rolled joints on the cover.
BTBAM always do covers as impressively as their own work In Nightwish's own style as well, really dig this cover
Such a great segment of the movie, and class vocals from Andrew Strong. Wonder what cruise ship he's singing on nowadays?
Pretenders - Stop Your Sobbing (Kinks) Joan Jett And The Blackhearts - I Love Rock And Roll (Arrows) Cyndi Lauper: Girls Just Want To Have Fun (Robert Hazard)
I'm not going to give 1, but 2 covers better than the original Song- Mr Schadenfreude Original Singers- Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, KAITO, GUMI and Camui Gackpo (They aren't real people, but voice banks by Vocaloid I think) Cover 1 Singers- 青妃らめ, IZUMI, こまいぬ, Cereus, 月乃, とうめいのくに, みょみょ, 吉乃 Cover 2 Singers- Ado, ひとでちゃん, 綴, 吉乃, 黒うさぎ, 弱酸性, ・o・, 橘_うた×× I heard about this song while searching up about J pop. The original didn't appeal but the first cover did. The next day, the second cover was released. This song is about a mysterious death in a village which was committed by the devil, who possesed one of the 4 villagers, the knight or the mortician, which everyone calls Mr Schadenfreude. Over time, more deaths happen so the remaining villagers look for the murderer. Overall, it's a pretty good song but the singers of the original sound like they inhaled helium or something. The two covers are way better than the original but I think the second cover juse edges out the first cover.
This isn't a serious one as it's not a great song to begin with or even if it counts as it's live lounge (thought it is much better than the nonsense the original is).
The Byrds version of This Wheels on Fire is just genius and they simply turn the song on its head Then there's Siouxsie's spin
