    He's the definitive left back though.

    If we're playing two all round CB's instead of a stopper/libero combo... yes, I'd have him in the middle.

    Denis Irwin- Both footed, hard, leadership, fabulous crosser of the ball, consistent. Not many right midfielders got the better of him in his day.

    Yep. One of the best in his prime at the time but not a patch on players like Facchetti, Carlos and Maldini.
