Blackburn at home tonight Another 6 pointer up for grabs. Tough game, guaranteed for weimann to cause up problems. Bartley out for 3 games due to suspension
Can't believe how good Lewis Gibson is, considering he came from a team who were breaking defensive records for all the wrong reasons. We'll be lucky to keep him for more than 12 months. He has the lot.
Gutting to lose with the last kick of the game. Thought we played pretty well and had a great chance with Frey. Fine margins but it shows why we will be mid table and not higher. Though, win on Friday and suddenly it's 1 point from play offs.
Couldn't write the timing, managerless and heading to the team just above us who have a former favourite manager of ours at the helm (great to see Tony back) and also Adam Armstrong there too who is bound to score. We'll either rise to the occassion and show great resilience or fall apart.
Decent looking team. Ajayi back who has been missing since October. Grant missing through illness and dike not fully fit yet. Bartley suspended.
Bloody hell, everything that could have gone wrong for us in that half did go wrong. Terrible shape for both goals. An own goal and a penalty lol (not that Plymouth dont deserve it) Been decent enough on the ball and the new-look front line continues to show promise. Connolly continues to look like our best player this calendar year and the new bloke Neghli has shown that x-factor in glimpses. Hoping an an early second half goal might unsettle Argyle, but they look full of confidence after that result at the weekend. edit: haha fecking hell 3-0 and then 4-0 in quick succession. We just haven’t got to grips with Argyle’s energy tonight. The shape has been so poor and our approach just completely inappropriate for this kind of game
Well that was a night to forget! Oddly not too downbeat. Just feels like one of those nights where the manager has completely misjudged the type of game it will be and everything has gone wrong for us and right for the opposition (well, I fecking well hope so anyway!). Congrats to Argyle. Fully deserved. Their players looked like they really believed they could beat anyone by any scoeline tonight, and I suppose you would do after knocking out the premier league champions in waiting. Strangely, they’re the first side to beat us by more than one goal this season. Wouldn’t have put money on that being the case last week, but I suppose a week is a long time in football.
As much as fans say 'typical [INSERT CLUB]', I really didn't see that coming. Fair play to Plymouth, but that feels like a truly damaging result.
Not my usual reaction to a result like this, but think we will bounce back on Saturday, albeit playing slightly more conservatively. Safety should be pretty much guaranteed by now and the rest of the season will be about bedding in the new boys for next season and identifying targets to replace members of the old guard where possible
Going to be a good promotion race this. Four teams who are all very capable of putting a great run together. A few big clashes over the next couple of weeks
x.com - our third goal tonight It’s just who we are, mate. or in the words of Muslic… it’s the game we love. We look like a proper Championship team and we’re right back in the fight.
Luton are absolutely ****ing shite and a dirty set of bastards too. Our midfield ran rings around theirs and they tried kicking us out of the ground towards the end. I cannot believe they were a Premier League side last season. They’re stinking out the division this time around and are rightfully at the foot of the table.
If anyone ever hires Rooney again they are absolute morons, this Argyle side should not be anywhere near relegation.
They were there on merit before the January window. Some proper defensive reinforcements have boosted their chances of survival - they’d have still had a very slim chance of surviving without them. Katic particularly was excellent in that game Sunday.
