I love the formation and the team thus far. But I would still take YASHIN over Buffon. Why? Well the Italian is not really a solid PK stopper, that's probably his main weakness and he can be a little clumsy on the ball as well. On the other hand, the Black Spider saved over 150PKs and that's hard to do in any era, IMHO! As far as the last spots left, this is what I would go for: MESSI: RAM PELE: CAM MARADONA: LAM RONALDO FENOMENO: ST And there you have it!
I do think Buffon is one of the greats for his longevity at the highest level, but Kahn's performance in the 2002 WC was the best I've ever seen in a goalkeeper, and till this day I've yet witnessed any one replicating the same thing. He carried that pile of shite German squad all the way to the finals. It's always going to be Kahn for me.
Kahn is quality, but that was just one performance. People always go on about his performances at International level, and forget about his club performances. Yes he was great, but Buffon was more consistent on a club and International level.
