    Hi
Now the European draws have been made and I understand Monaco will play on the Wednesday and Nice of the Thursday following weekend of 23/24 November. How likely is it that now Monaco will play Sat and Nice on Sunday as both are at home this weekend? Also how far in advance are fixtures confirmed and tickets available. Thanks

    A solid 24 hours beforehand!

Reckon both Monaco/Brest and Nice/Strasbourg will be sunday afternoon kick-offs (probably starting at the same time though). Are you planning on staying more than the weekend? I like Louis II but have no time for Nice's sorry excuse of a stadium.

I don't think you can get Ligue 1 legally in the UK this year? TNT Sports have stopped showing it and no-one else seems to have picked it up unless I've missed something?

Hank Williams Jr might have sung the lyrics All my rowdy friends are here on Friday night to celebrate St Etienne’s first victory since their return to Ligue 1.

Perhaps fortunate that they got a win last week, then. Friday night not automatically a Good Time! :D

Will post about the Sporting/Lille game in the Portuguese thread but this just shows you how absolutely awful Saint-Etienne are and how careless Lille must be to lose to them. We're looking at world record whipping boys there, proper Derby County standards! Nice are not a bad side but they very rarely score goals for fun like that.

Or maybe Lille are only a mere fathom above whalesh*t themselves. But for a late penalty (converted a bit lazily by J David) they blow a 2-0 lead and lose to Strasbourg ffs. (Yes, a draw then, but good teams should win home matches against bottom-half sides.)

Oh, turn on that Wayback Machine, won’t you Bullwinkle, and bring back a more youthful Burak Yilmaz, pleeeeze?

Why are Saint Etienne so shit? Have they still got financial problems?

Strasbourg won't finish bottom half. Unlike 99% of the league, they don't need DAZN money to pay the wages as they're Chelsea's bitch club. Quality transfer window and a good manager. Pretty sure they'll finish 4th or something. Stupid from Senaya to concede that late pen otherwise they would have won. Lille are indeed rubbish.

Ligue 2 side playing in Ligue 1 with little to non-existant top tier experience. Usually, sides that get promoted are well geared defensively but we can see that is not the case for Les Verts. Oh and Dallaglio has apparently lost the dressing room from what I've read on Twitter.

Marseille had their captain sent off after 5 minutes for 2 bookings at Lyon but still won 3-2!

I don't know about Ol Marseille (too inconsistent), but AS Monaco is a solid, energetic, vertical, attacking team, as Barcelona has seen (suffered) in two summer matches (Gamper trophy and UCL 1st Match). If PSG think they have another Ligue 1 in their pocket, they've got another thing coming.

Super-bummer for Lyon fans to see them tie in extra time, only to then immediately see English sub Jonathan Rowe snipe from long range to put them back in the loss column.

Next Sunday 29 September will be quite interesting, then. Strasbourg host Marseilles.
