I went to see him last night and have to say it was very disappointing. The bloke seemed to completely off his nut and was slurring words. Another example of somebody who obviously once had it but has lost it big time!

3rd of Jan - were The Burn any good. I think they were the support act.

Yeah, he did. He never put a foot wrong in his career until 'Golden Greats' came out, which had a few decent songs, but was mainly ****. The new one is pretty **** too.

The song he did with UNKLE (Be There) is one of the best songs of the 90's, mind.

He did have it at one point for sure. When he was with The Stone Roses they had the world at their feet but were ruined by John Squires and his love of cocaine which Ian Brown hated! He is still a very good album artist but is crap live!

Jack again I didn't see the support act cos' I stayed in the pub paying £1.60 a pint rather than pay £2.50 in The Guildhall.

I was also at the gig, and also vey dissapointed, the man simply cannot sing anymore, the most entertaining thing in his set was the fight down the front!

I was however impressed with "The Burn", they seem like a class act!

Jack, Have they released anything?, do you know more about them?

I dont think theyve released anything yet. The only place ive seen a song of theres available is on the Best of Hut recordings 1991-2001.

The song on there is a demo version as well so they may not have even recorded anything for release yet.
