I'm not the biggest fan of the Royals but I've not hated any of them apart from Prince Andrew and technically Camilla other than that they're not the worst family in Britain for me, so how do we think King Charles will do as King? I think he's waited this long to be king he's bound to know the ins and outs of what her majesty did, I'm hoping you guys will put your opinions aside and just answer this question
Depends on what you want out of him. I think he will try to modernise the monarchy a bit ready for William, and other than that will do more of the same as what the Queen did.
He will chop off the head of Piers Morgan for being an annoying git. He would probably still chatter away when his head is in the basket.
I've seen (and forwarded) some of the videos posted of him being a bit snappy with those around him, which of course ERII never was. But thinking on he's a 73 year old bloke, suddenly launched into a 'vocation' just days after losing his mother, who's already had to walk behind a cortege and do a whirlwind tour of the home nations, so he's entitled to be a tad narked.
King Charles is a bit of a prophet without honour. He was ahead of his time in speaking about the climate, and most of his causes are liberal. I think he'll be good, and hopefully a bit more of an outspoken monarch.
I agree. It was weird seeing him lose his temper over a leaking pen but, under the circumstances, it’s usually something small that can make you snap. He’s been primed for this role all his life, but it doesn’t mean he’s completely prepared whilst grieving too. i was never a fan of Camilla, but I think she’ll support him incredibly well as Queen Consort.
Out of interest, who would you say are the worst family in Britain? If we’re going recently but not nescesairly current then I’d probably go for the West family. Not only Fred & Rose but both their extended families were horrible too; apart from their kids.
He's also Philip's son and he was never one to shy away from saying what he thought. I reckon he has more of Philip's personality in him that Her Majesty's. Anne is a lot more like the Queen.
Apparently previous kings haven't worn a crown, no idea why. King Charles: New coins featuring monarch's portrait unveiled New coins featuring the portrait of King Charles have been revealed, with a 50p carrying his image entering general circulation within weeks. BBC News was given a first glimpse of the 50p and a commemorative £5 Crown which include an image of the King by British sculptor Martin Jennings. The coins follow centuries of tradition with the monarch now facing left - the opposite way to his predecessor. As with previous British kings, and unlike the Queen, he wears no crown. King Charles personally approved the effigy, and was understood to be pleased with the likeness.
Wonder if Charlie will downgrade all the hangers on like the Danish RF has. Put a few faces out of joint.
I'm sure he'll modernise it quite abit, but given his age he might decide to leave any serious upheaval to William.
