I just find this whole reduced allocation thing ridiculously petty. What’s the away allocation at Wombles generally, 1,300? I mean, what difference is an additional 400 Notts fans gonna make - seriously! I’d be embarrassed if we reduced our allocation to 2,400 from 2,750 - just because we could. Grow up!
Most clubs do it for play off game's. Bristol City reduced their normal away allocation tonight for Sheffield United so they could sell more tickets to their own supporter's .We have given Notts.County 10% of the stadiums capacity which is all we have to do. They've done the same with us. It enables us to sell maybe another 200 tickets to our own supporters.
I'm really having one of those weeks - I turned 40 a few months ago and a guy told me that at 40 you start losing more brain cells than re-forming. It seems to have hit me quicker than I expected
If it means making way for more home supporters, I absolutely get it. I wasn’t aware that you could reconfigure your away end to accommodate more home supporters. Figured it was just another Doncaster case. Reduced out of spite more than anything else.
It may have appeared like out of spite but there is more reason behind the decision. I was for either giving you a full 3k or using half of the away end for home fans as we sold out our 11k home tickets a day or two before, we’d have possibly sold a few hundred more. Although, if we gave you the full 3k our end blocks used near the corner would have not been available for home fans as the over zealous use of netting to separate fans. Why can premier league clubs use one line of stewards and league two clubs need a few blocks to separate fans?..Sadly our occasional sell out of 14/15k crowds are past us with crowd safety measures, I find that sad!. Absolutely we could have compromised and gave you about 2-2.5k and still had ample space for crowd separation. I think a lot of clubs with large away ends are going to be reducing away capacity’s over the next few seasons I heard Barnsley and a few other clubs are more and more seeing it as a disadvantage. I suppose higher home attendances account for some of this change. No doubt you’ll get 3k at our place next season.
About a month after I hit 40 I put my back out and was off work for 3 months, since then my body has had problem after problem including another block of 9 months off work in 2020 for something unrelated to my back it's like it knows that I had hit 40 and said '**** you you prick'
Did my hamstring last night. Started playing old man's football a few months back. I can run 5k and 10k quite easily. Can't sprint for shit though and last night I paid the price!!
We appear to have sold out our allocation and six subsidised coaches have been booked. I can't go as it's a very late return and I have work on Sunday. The club is showing the match in the Phoenix and in hospitality and quite a few pubs in Wimbledon too so I'm sorted. Home ticket booked.
Yep I'm going up on the coach tomorrow. 25 quid is ok although from my experience they are always late in leaving.. Hopefully it'll be better than the coach up to Walsall. The bloody thing couldn't go above 50 .
