Wealdstone vs. Bromley now on Wednesday @Hants Pilgrim. The club clearly aren't happy given the press release. Whilst there is some sympathy, if the pitch wasn't such a problem then there wouldn't have been a need to play these next few games with 5 players away on international duty.
Yes, but one of them is an academy prospect who hasn't played for the first team yet (but has been called up for the Gibraltar senior squad, fair play). Edit: The National League making it Wednesday night so Grant Smith can play for England C on Tuesday night is hilarious double standards here - we've got to play without 5, Bromley can play without their first choice keeper.
Double standards is one way of calling it. Game had been agreed to go ahead on 4th April but NL falling over backwards to accommodate Bromley as they have a trophy sf at the weekend . With Bromley’s academy being so good, couldn’t they have just sent a kids team to play the game?
Now this I wasn't aware of. As it turns out, Grant Smith isn't involved in the England C squad tonight anyway... need to see if there are any odds for Fela being an anytime scorer as that is easy money. Something like that, there are 3 Chipolina relatives, although only Roy is involved in the squad if Wikipedia is to be believed. There's a Chesterfield youth striker who has also been called up to the senior squad.
Got to feel for Truro. Obviously the first thoughts are with the Eastbourne player but Truro can't buy a break right now
Assumed Chesterfield would actually be happy with that as you don’t want to win it when not playing on a Tuesday night. We were so comfortable then they scored from our corner! After that we were so average & lucky not to concede tbh. Positives - 4 major players back in Kabamba, Gorman, Collinge & Kanu with 3 starting. Next 2 home games against the bottom 2 (not always a positive) & Solihull sandwiched in between. 4 teams in 4th-7th are playing each other Saturday too.
Seems the script has been written over on Chesterfields messageboard. Seems a few think we are just going to roll over and have our bellies tickled.
