I think the number of times Sérgio has had to refresh his squad and play different styles of football to suit whichever players he's had at his disposal that particular season just tips it in his favour for me. You look at the team he had with cloggers like Moussa Marega & Héctor Herrera and then compare that to the team with Vitinha, Vieira, Díaz etc, they're almost complete opposites and both achieved so much. That's not to downplay how good Amorim has been btw, he's been unbelievable at both Braga and Sporting.
Sporting are interested in signing Chiquinho from Wolves apparently. It's a bit of a downgrade on Edwards role in the team but at €4.5M could be a good investment.

I think so yeah, more in terms of potential than current ability though. If you look at some of the other fees for young Portuguese players recently €30M for Conceição is really cheap.

Tiago Morais on loan to Rio Ave for the season. It'll be interesting to see how he gets on there, always seemed like he had a lot of quality. Seems like they're having a really good transfer window so far as well.

It's an old interest, Estoril is my local team, they have always stayed on the lookout for him, both Sporting and Benfica were after him, but he chose to sign with Wolves, now Sporting found he was avaiable, it's a matter of time, Amorim really likes him
It's a shame really, but that's what you get with bad management, it seems to be a thing amongst classic teams like Setubal, Boavista, Beira-Mar, Leiria, Belenenses... the list goes on
